Mountain Ranch, CA…In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we’re still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you’ve got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered. Click on images below for larger versions

San Andreas, CA...A-1 has been Serving Calaveras county, central California valley and surrounding areas since 2007. They offer full service repair and sales of tractors, mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, logsplitters, generators and rototillers. In addition, they provide sharpening service for chainsaws, mower blades and circular saw blades. They are located at 660 E. St. Charles St, San Andreas, CA.

Angels Camp, CA...From the days when the land was only inhabited by the Mi Wok people to its rich history anchored in the Gold Rush of 1849 and the 88 days Mark Twain stayed in the area, Calaveras County still harkens back to simpler times, even in the midst of modern progress. In Calaveras, many great strides have been made to continue the important preservation of the area’s history for generations to come. Here is a list of museums to visit to see what life was like back then, so we can continue to look forward:

San Andreas, CA...Mark your calendars and join us Saturday, March 30th from 11-1pm at Turner Park for the San Andreas community Easter Egg Hunt! San Andreas Fire Protection District will be serving up free hot dogs for the kids. The Calaveras County Library Central Library will have their Book Mobile available. The Calaveras Arts Council will be hosting an art table. The San Andreas Community Covenant Church will have a craft table.

Deputy Varni Graduates Field Training Program |

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that Deputy Michael Varni has completed the Field Training Program. He was hired by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office in November of 2023 as a lateral Deputy with previous law enforcement experience. His prior experience allowed him to join the team seamlessly and quickly adapt to the community's unique demands of law enforcement.

San Andreas, CA...On March 26th, 2024, Adrian Topete and Joseph Denney successfully completed the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Field Training Program. Both Adrian and Joseph joined the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office on April 22, 2023, as Deputy Sheriff recruits and received sponsorship through the law enforcement academy.

San Andreas, CA...Vitalant will host the Calaveras Community blood drive to meet the community’s need for blood and blood products. The blood drive is sponsored by the Calaveras Community Foundation. Donors will be entered into a Vitalant drawing to win one out of four $5,000 pre-paid gift cards.
