Sierra Pacific Industries Foundation donates $2,500 to Calaveras Community Foundation |

Angels Camp, CA...Philanthropic Consultant, Paul Stein accepted this generous donation from Mark Luster, Community Relations Manager for Sierra Pacific Industries Foundation. Mr. Luster states, ““At Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) we believe that through our contribution to The Calaveras Community Foundation, we can support the vital role it plays in this community by providing active and positive programs for youth, seniors and other residents of our county.”

San Andreas, CA...Wednesday night the Calaveras High Stadium was filled with family, friends and well wishers. The class of 2013 accepted their awards, accolades and diplomas and marched into the next phase of their lives. With every graduation we attend we are reminded again what a special place our little corner of the world can be. So highlights...78% of the class plan on attending college, 8% will be serving their county in the military and much more. We have higher quality video now below and photos as well. SAN ANDREAS, CA – June 13, 2013- Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 3rd Annual Summer Health Fair on Saturday, June 29th, from 8am to Noon at La Contenta Plaza in Valley Springs. Over forty community health related service groups will participate in this community-wide event. San Andreas, CA... Calaveras Unified School District held a district-wide food drive for The Resource Connection Food Bank during the month of May. 1,271 pounds of food was brought into the Food Bank from the CUSD schools. “We so appreciate the giving from the school community to families in need,” said Jeannie Hayward, Food Bank Director, “all of this food will go right back out to our network of 14 pantries throughout Calaveras County and to those in our community who come to the Food Bank for food. During the month of May, 1070 families living in Calaveras County walked through the doors of the Food Bank in need of food. This food drive helps us out in so many ways. Families and faculty from the CUSD school district donated tuna, peanut butter, pasta, canned vegetables and more. We want to say “Thank You” to all who donated food.” ...

San Andreas, CA...The agenda for today's board meeting is enclosed and following is the notice that the budget meeting for the the 2013/2014 budget are upon us. COUNTY OF CALAVERAS FY 2013/14 RECOMMENDED BUDGET HEARINGS, TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will hold Recommended Budget Hearings commencing on June 11, 2013 through June 14, 2013, or until completion. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 – (following regular Board meeting, if time permits) Board Chambers, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249 Items not heard on Tuesday, June 11th, will be continued as follows, until completed: Wednesday through Friday beginning at 9:00 AM.
