Arnold Man Sustains Major Injuries In Hwy 4 DUI Collision |

Murphys, CA...A 30 year old Arnold man was driving his 200 Nissan westbound on State Route 4 just west of Horseshoe Drive at approximately 35-40 mph. For unknown reasons he made an unsafe turn to the right. When he made his unsafe turn to the right he allowed the Nissan to leave the roadway and enter the north shoulder. Consequently, the right side of the vehicle collided with a tree. The vehicle continued in motion and the front end collided with another tree. He sustained major injuries and was flown to Doctors Medical Center, Modesto.

San Andreas, CA...Early this morning CHP received a report of a collision on SR-4 and Horseshoe Drive. A man was driving his Chevy northbound on Horseshoe Drive and was stopped at the intersection of SR-4 preparing to turn right.

Calaveras County, CA...About 10 months after the disaster declaration, the County still had not started Project 78, a major $8.3 million debris-removal project to clear hazardous trees. This has delayed recovery for the entire area because the County is not initiating other critical work until hazardous tree removal occurs. Therefore,delays to this project will create delays to other disaster-related work.
