They looked up and stared. For a few, it was their first time outside of the city. For some, it was their very first trip to the forest. Posted by: thepinetree on 06/08/2018 05:05 PM
San Andreas, CA...It was another special evening in San Andreas as the Class of 2018 marched across the podium and into the next phase of their lives. It was impressive to see the 21 Valedictorians who all maintained a 4.0 or better in all of their 4 years. Most impressive at least to us was Jared Renberg. Not only was he one of the Valedictorians but also had perfect attendance from kindergarten all the way through high school.  When you click on most of the group photos they will go to a full sized image.

Posted by: thepinetree on 06/02/2018 06:10 PM
Avery, CA...On Thursday evening with pine trees in the background the Avery Middle School Class of 2018 took their next step along their education path. We are lucky to have great schools let by dedicated people molding our next generations. While yes, there are always areas for improvement every year it is always impressive to see the next wave of students from our local schools. As one parent who moved their family here from the Los Altos area a few years ago told me..."The Schools here in Calaveras County were equal or better than the private schools where our kids were enrolled in the Bay Area"
