Arnold, CA...Bistro will remain open for business during the planned outages and *may* stay open past 4:00. Arnold will likely be affected over weekend for 36-48 hours according to PG&E.

Murphys, CA...Yesterday we visited many of the shops, wine tasting rooms and businesses in Murphys and most will be open for business today. Some restaurants may be serving a limited menu but many will be open and serving you. Don't let this PG&E outage hurt our local economy. Most of the businesses in Calaveras, Tuolumne & Amador Counties are local, small, family run businesses. They rely on weekend sales to keep things rolling forward. So head on out today and Shop Local and help your friends and neighbors enjoy a great day!!
The crowds may be slightly less than in the above photos but the locals may be in costume! Enjoy a great shopping day in Murphys!

Tom Scheller showed us several options including the W.A.S.P. Fire protection system. The W.A.S.P. Wildfire Protection Kit installs either on your ridge ends or clips directly onto your gutter. It will fit on either OG or Facia gutter styles. The kit comes with 2-25 foot industrial quality hoses, two sprinkler heads, two gutter mounts, and two ridge end clips. Basically, you can quickly clip these onto your ridge or gutter using a piece of 3/4″ PVC (not supplied), turn them on, and have your roof soaked to help prevent ignition during fires. Depending on water pressure, these can have up to a 34′ radius.
