San Andreas, CA....Normally by this time our shed is overflowing with toys for local children. This year we have only a handful of toys. Please consider donating a new unused toy this year. All toys donated to our collection barrels stay in our county. You can give your toys to any CHP officer, drop them at our office or one of the collection barrels.

Bear Valley, CA...After much anticipation, we are finally ready to start the lifts back up, and we welcome you to join us on our opening day next Saturday, December 18th! With the warm weather these last few weeks, we've all been sitting on the edge of our seats hoping and praying for snow, and mother nature has finally answered! We picked up 5" of snow last night, with likely more on the way towards the end of the weekend and through this next week. Our Mountain Operations team is taking full advantage of the cooler weather, and we are blowing snow like crazy!

Murphys, CA...We live in a divided country and in these tumultuous times, school board meetings have become an uncivilized forum for activists and angry parents to engage in public discourse on a variety of subjects from critical race theory, funding mental health programs, mask mandates, and in California the vaccine mandates for all children that attend public and private schools.
Avery, CA...On the November 26th the Holiday Welcome Light for the entire Ebbetts Pass Corridor sparkled to life for his Holiday Season. A great sized crowd was on hand to cheer the Avery Christmas Lighting for this year.

Murphys, CA…It was another great evening in Murphy's for the Annual Murphy's Open House. Covid pushed back the return of the Christmas Parade until 2022 but this was a great gathering anyway. The Murphys Open House has traditionally been a locals gathering however as Murphys has grown as a tourism draw that crowd has as well. It was a wonderful event and it was nice to see everyone out and enjoying a great evening! We have over 80 high resolution photos in the slideshow below and a bit of video video, enjoy!

Winter Storm Watch Starting Wednesday Afternoon into Thursday

Arnold, CA....The National Weather Service is forecasting a Winter Storm Watch starting Wednesday afternoon..."Winter storm will bring mountain snow late Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. A storm system will approach northern California on Wednesday afternoon, bringing with it accumulating snowfall into Thursday afternoon. Snow levels start out 6000 to 7000 feet falling to 4500 to 5500 feet Thursday morning. The heaviest snow is expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning with the majority of the accumulation above 5500 feet but some light accumulation is possible down to 4500 feet. If you have mountain travel plans be prepared for winter driving conditions, chain controls, and travel delays.
