Lake Alpine, CA...As our summer visitors ranks start to thin it is the perfect time to take a visit to our local high country. Temps are still warm and you can actually find parking spots, have a great time and have a picnic or get a meal. This video and photos were taken just before the Nor-Cal fire storms broke out but as of today the air quality is starting to improve.

PG&E Restores Most MocFire Outages. Only 419 Customers Left to Restore |

Groveland, CA...PG&E crews have been able to access most of the equipment affected by the MocFire and restore power to most of the Moccasin and Groveland areas. There are still 419 customers without power but that is down from over 4,000. No estimates as to restoral of the rest because they have as yet been unable to access the rest of the affected equipment due to fire activity in the area...

Darren is survived by his wife Brenda, his son Tim Jones, his mother Mary Louise Jones Ardito, all of Angels Camp; his son Travis Rankin of Georgia, and his brother Brian Jones (Terrie) of Carson City, NV.

Moccasin, CA...Moccasin Hetch Hetchy Power Plant Community- All Mandatory Evacuation Orders & Fire advisements for the community of Moccasin Hetch Hetchy Power Plant will be lifted today, Saturday August 22, at 12pm. Due to the large amount of Fire suppression equipment in the area, speed control will be enforced. Road Closures - Road Conditions: Open with no restrictions Greeley Hill (J132) / Smith Station, Closed: Hwy 49N from Penon Blanco to Hwy 120. All North intersecting roads on Greeley Hill Road (J132) / Smith Station from Priest Coulterville to the Mariposa / Tuolumne County line.

Sacramento, CA...State Parks Issues Full, Partial Closures of Park Units Due to Ongoing Wildfires. State Parks issued full or partial closures for more than two dozen parks due to the ongoing wildfires burning across much of the state. Camping reservation holders impacted by the wildfires are being contacted with cancellation information. Some parks remain partially open but with limited services.
