Angels Camp, CA..Bob Middleton of Middleton's Mark Twain Center attended the Brand Source Convention in Dallas, TX earlier this month. Middleton's along with other dealers were recognized for being one of the original 100 Dealers in the country! Bob has belonged to the Pacific Rim Region since 1987, it encompasses, AZ, CA & NV. The convention celebrated the 50TH Anniversary of AVB Brand Source being a National Buying group for Independent Appliance, Furniture, Mattress, Electronic Dealers.

Ebbetts Pass Summit, CA....From Caltrans D!..."We put an overnight shift on to make sure the route stayed open and safe throughout the night and applied sand to some of the corners as there was rain lower down that was expected to freeze." Arnold, CA...From the owner..."Dear Pine Tree Readers, I’d like to inform the community to be extra vigilant if they see suspicious activity in their neighborhood. Sometime between Sept 2nd and 6th, my home on Elizabeth Drive in Blue Lake Springs was broken into and many of my cherished possessions were stolen. Amongst the stolen items were 3 guitars that I purchased as a young man in the 1970’s and 1980’s. They had tremendous sentimental value. They also stole newer power tools (mostly Dewalt brand), chain saws, guitar amp, LCD TV, surround sound and stereo equipment, even some furniture and much more.

San Andreas, CA...State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara and his staff will host a Town Hall Meeting on Monday September 16, 2019 at 6 pm. The Town Hall will be held at San Andreas Town Hall, 24 Church Hill Road, San Andreas, CA. The Insurance Commissioner will present about the current state of getting and maintaining homeowner’s insurance in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI). This informational discussion will provide statewide trend data, consumer protection laws update and risk reduction through prevention and mitigation. The public is invited to attend and share personal experiences with insurance nonrenewal and rate increases with the Commissioner and his staff. (Editor's Note...Below is our video from the meeting in Tuolumne County. Let's hope past is not prologue and they come prepared with more concrete solutions)
