Sonora, CA...Following up with the solicitation of comments for the pending State OHV grant program, the web-based comment portal is now open through May 6, 2024. Stanislaus National Forest recreation specialists and OHV managers have completed three draft grants for consideration by the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division.

Bear Valley, CA...In consideration of the safety of our guests and employees, Bear Valley Mountain Resort will be closing its operations for Saturday, March 2nd due to hazardous storm conditions & large amounts of snowfall.
We will diligently assess the situation for Sunday, March 3rd and provide updates accordingly.
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras County is gearing up for an approaching storm with snow expected to hit as low as 1,000 feet in elevation. The Office of Emergency Services (OES) encourages residents to take simple steps to stay safe and warm.

Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 feet above 5000 feet, with 1 to 4 feet above 3000 feet from Thursday through Sunday morning. Minor accumulations down to around 2000 feet.
