Mokelumne Hill, CA...On June 7, 2019, at about 8:00 PM, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a missing person report out of Sacramento County for 44-year old David Gordon Johnson. David Johnson was reported to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, as a missing person. Law Enforcement learned of a possible location at Big Bar River Access near the town of Mokelumne Hill in Calaveras County. The California Highway Patrol responded to the area and located his motorcycle parked.

Villa Drive Condo Fire Displaces Residents |

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept..."Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire Crews responded to the Condo Complex in the Gibbs Ranch Estates at 19849 Villa Drive in Sonora just after 5:30 for reports of a structure fire. One unit was fully engulfed when emergency crews arrived. Deputies have evacuated several units and medical personnel are treating some residents for smoke inhalation.

Over 1,200 Plants & 68.5 Lbs of Marijuana Eradicated |

Jenny Lind, CA...On June 5th, 2019 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 8000 blocks of Pardini Place, Jenny Lind. During the service of the search warrant, an indoor marijuana operation was located. Investigators discovered the interior of the residence and detached garage had been completely converted into several individual marijuana growing rooms. A total of 1,264 marijuana plants and 68.5 pounds of processed marijuana were seized. Xiaolin Zheng (37 years of age, Jenny Lind) was arrested on scene and booked into the Calaveras County Jail. He was charged with 11358 H&S-Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, 11366 H&S-Maintaining a Drug House and 11359 H&S Possession of Marijuana for sale. Bail was set at $100,000.00.

Dorsey was chosen to receive this honor due to his high level of dedication and his unwavering commitment to the citizens of Calaveras County. Arizona Man Arrested, 361 Marijuana Plants, 138 Processed Pounds & 3.9 Pounds of BHO Eradicated |

Mountain Ranch CA...On June 7, 2019 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 8000 block of Cave City Road, Mountain Ranch. During the service of the search warrant an indoor marijuana grow and BHO concentrated honey oil operation was located. Investigators located a marijuana processing room and a butane honey oil (BHO) conversion lab in a barn near the main residence. Deputies seized 361 marijuana plants growing in the four (4) greenhouses, 138 pounds of processed marijuana, and 3.9 pounds of concentrated honey oil.

Would Be Burglar Caught in Sonora |

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Office..."A would-be burglar captured on camera, was caught thanks to a tip from a community member who recognized him. On May 23rd, 29-year-old Cody Wright of Jamestown, attempted to break into a home through a side door of an attached garage while the homeowners were inside. After failing to break in, Wright entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway and rummaged through it. Luckily, he was caught on home surveillance.

Sheriff DiBasilio Enhancing Inmate Worker Program |

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Jail Inmate Work Program continues to expand in functionality and scope. Beginning in May of this year, Sheriff Rick DiBasilio expanded the Inmate Worker Program by implementing the county’s first-ever female inmate work crew. Just as with the male inmate work crew, the females, under direct supervision of a female correctional officer, are allowed to perform necessary fire prevention, debris removal, and landscape services outside of the jail in exchange for time-served credits.
