Sonora, CA...On May 31st during the 11 P.M. hour, Officers responded to the 300 block of South Washington St. for a report of a fight involving a knife. Officers arrived on scene and contacted 37-year-old Richard Carter out of Sacramento.
Attempted Vehicle Theft Leaves Pair Arrested & Released

Sonora, CA...On June 6th at approximately three o’clock in the afternoon, our office received a phone call of an attempted vehicle theft in progress in the area of Downtown Plaza. Officers arrived on scene and located Roni Hatton, 29-years-old, and John McAdoo, 28-years-old, running from the scene. After a brief foot chase, Hatton and McAdoo were taken into custody without incident. During a search of McAdoo after he was arrested, he was found to be in possession of metal knuckles.

San Andreas, CA...Joseph Robert Westbrook (25 years old, Valley Springs) was released from the Calaveras County Jail on April 13th, 2020, due to the judicial zero bail order concerning Covid-19. Shortly after his release, he was identified as being responsible for multiple thefts and at least one burglary in the Valley Springs area. On May 21st, deputies were successful in obtaining a warrant from the Calaveras County Superior Court charging Westbrook with PC 459 Felony Burglary, PC 530.5(A) Felony ID theft and PC 664/484G Attempted Forgery.

New York, NY...From the New York PBA..."PBA President Patrick J. Lynch presided over a fiery press conference today in which he and officials from 20 other unions — representing more than 200,000 law enforcement officers from across the state — condemned the nationwide attack on police officers and their rights. “We, as professionals, are under assault,” said Lynch, surrounded by more than 200 police and correction officers. “And this in a backdrop of a night when we had seven shootings (in Brooklyn) in seven minutes.”
