CHP Reporting One DUI So Far This Holiday Weekend

CHP reported one DUI on Wednesday November 26th, 2008 at 12:40pm. A 28 year old Stockton male was traveling on Olive Orchard Road north of Hwy 26 at a high rate of speed. Due to his unsafe speed and level of intoxication, he lost control of his vehicle and eventually overturned and landed on the right side. He was very lucky to escape the accident with a small cut to the leg. CHP release enclosed....

Arnold, CA...CHP, Calaveras Sheriff's Office & Ebbetts Pass Fire are working a what is being reported a vehicle vs. a tree motor vehicle accident at Pine Drive & Hwy 4. There has been an ambulance called so injuries could be reported but there is no indication of their severity as of yet. There is a lane blocked...so use caution in the area. More to follow if needed..

CHP is reporting a Big Rig vs. van with minor injuries at Hwy 120 and O'Byrnes Ferry Road in Jamestown. Use caution in the area as emergency personnel and tow trucks are on scene.

CHP is reporting a traffic hazard at Mountain Ranch Road just east of Hwy 49. There is a school bus that is broken down going up the hill. Use caution in the area as traffic is backing up. Update 3:10pm...Roadway clear

CHP is reporting a multiple vehicle collision with Ambulance Responding involving 3-4 vehicles at Hwy 12 at Briski Well in Valley Springs. CHP is showing there appears to be a subject down and unresponsive. BOTH LANES ARE BLOCKED SO PLEASE USE CAUTION IN THE AREA. We just spoke with CHP, as they are just arriving on scene, they informed us more updates to come if needed. UPDATE 2:26pm...Moderate Injuries per CHP. Copperopolis, CA....One Copperopolis youth suffered minor injuries and the driver none when their vehicle hit a tree then rolled into its roof due to driving at an unsafe speed for conditions, at approximately this morning at Hwy 4 and Horseshoe Road. Full CHP release enclosed....

Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Arrest on Little John Road Approximately 2 Miles From Hwy 4 in Copperopolis

Calaveras County, CA....On November 14, 2008, at about 11:35pm, a Calaveras County deputy in a marked unit attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding Westbound Highway 4 near Bonanza Mine Road just outside of Copperopolis. The vehicle, a Ford Focus, failed to yield and the lights of the vehicle were turned off at this time. The deputy pursued the vehicle Westbound Highway 4 heading downhill towards Copperopolis with speeds at about 90-100 miles per hour.
