Pine Grove Man Lost His Life in Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Hwy 108 |

Pinecrest, CA...On September 19, 2020 at approximately 1:30 PM, a 36-year-old male from Pine Grove, CA was riding a 2017 Aprilia motorcycle westbound on State Route 108 east of Clarks Fork Road at approximately 65 miles per hour. For unknown reasons, the rider lost control of his motorcycle and traveled off the north roadway edge of State Route 108. After leaving the roadway, both the motorcycle and rider traveled down and embankment, approximately 40-50 feet and struck a tree. Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Modesto Man Arrested After Tuolumne County K9 Sniffs Out Drugs. |

Sonora, CA...Wednesday morning, Deputy V. Lee was patrolling the area of Mono Way and Tuolumne Road when he conducted a traffic stop on a car for multiple equipment violations. During the traffic stop, Deputy Lee utilized his K9 partner, Zeus, to conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Zeus produced alerts to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the driver, 32-year-old Jose Delarosa of Modesto, and his car turned up large quantities of varying illegal drugs.

Shooting Leads to Death of 17 Year Old in Sonora |

Sonora, CA...The Sonora Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred just before midnight on Wednesday, September 16th. Dispatch received several 911 calls regarding shots fired in the area of School Street late last night. Officers arrived on scene within a minute of the initial call but were unable to locate anyone in the area. The Police Department received another call shortly afterward from an associate of the victim to advise his friend had been shot and that they were currently at the hospital.
