Lake Tulloch, Copperopolis, CA....On August 9, 2008 at about 5:30pm, a Marine Safety Deputy observed (S) Berbereia operate a vessel over the posted speed in a restricted speed zone on Lake Tulloch near the river/inlet. When the Deputy contacted (S) Berbereia, he observed that the suspect showed physical signs and symptoms of consuming an alcoholic beverage. During the investigation (S) Berbereia was found to have a blood.....

Copperopolis, CA...Jessica Maschal, Monica Maschal & Hanna Stamer along with Law Enforcement and Fire Personnel were honored last night at Copperopolis Town Square's "Live From The Gazebo". The girl's soccer practice ran long so they didn't quite make it in time to be honored in person...

Mokelumne Hill, CA...There is a collision between a truck and a dark colored van partially blocking Hwy 49 in the Mokelumne Hill area. CHP is reporting vehicle fluids on the roadway as well. Use caution and expect possible delays in the area.

Railroad Flat, CA...Nothing to see here...move along...literally. In a bit of lighthearted traffic news there was a roll over accident in the Railroad Flat area according to a witness the driver of the rolled vehicle somehow got it back upright and drove the vehicle away.

Sonora, Calif. (August 6, 2008)…The Forest Service today announced that, because of high fire danger, a Forest Order enacting temporary fire restrictions is in effect in Moderate Fire Hazard Areas of the Stanislaus National Forest (NF). The fire restriction prohibits campfires, briquette barbecues, and smoking outside developed campgrounds in designated Moderate Hazard Areas of the Forest. Fricot City, CA...On July 30th Investigators assigned to the Calaveras Narcotics Enforcement Unit (CNEU) raided a marijuana garden located off of Fncot City Road near Right of Passage group home. Investigators seized in excess of 3,200 marijuana plants but said several thousand plants had been harvested prior to their arrival at the grow site.
