Non-Injury Collision Being Reported at Hwy 4 at Mt. Reba

Bear Valley, CA...CHP is reporting a non-injury collision at Hwy 4 and Mt. Reba. The roads are very slick. Caltrans is doing an excellent job keeping the roads clear, but as always you need to drive with extra caution in wintery conditions.

CHP is reporting an Ambulance Responding to a vehicle vs. pedestrian at 2518 Vista Del Lago Drive. We are unsure of any injuries at this time. Please use caution in the area. More details to come if needed. Update at 10:35am....Minor Injury.

CHP is reporting there are some goats out at Murphys Grade Road and Ranch Road. Could they be in search of St. Nick or possibly the next Christmas Bash? Please use caution in the area.

TRAFFIC NEWS....Multiple Vehicle Spin Outs Due to Icy Conditions

Big Trees, CA....We are reporting that multiple vehicles have spun out due to icy conditions between Big Trees and Arnold on Hwy 4 at the 4pm hour. There are no injuries, but it looked liked there are some significant amounts of bent sheet metal. Please use caution in the area as the roads are icy and also emergency crews are on scene. As always avoid using your brakes when descending on slick conditions.

In an effort to keep California’s roads safe, every available CHP officer will be out on the road during the upcoming Christmas Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) which begins Wednesday, December 24 at 6 p.m. and continues through midnight, Sunday, December 28.....

Jamestown Business Robbery Still Under Investigation....Updated with Sketch of Supect

Jamestown, CA....Detectives have been diligently working on this case. They have been Canvassing the Jamestown area for additional leads. On December 20, 2008, A Composite Sketch of the suspect was completed. The suspect is described as a white male adult, 5’-10”, 160 lbs, Brown hair Flannel shirt with red and gray pattern, dark blue ball cap. The suspect had a thin/frail build and had a very offensive odor.....SUMMARY: On December 18, 2008, at approximately 5:50 PM, Tuolumne County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a possible Robbery and a fire at a business in the 10000 block of Highway 108, Jamestown CA.....

Two in Custody, Investigation on-Going for Robbery In Columbia

Columbia, CA....On December 7, 2008, at approximately 9 PM, Deputies were called to the Columbia College Apartments for a reported Robbery. When Deputies arrived, they spoke with a Victim who said four subjects came to his apartment to purchase cigarettes. When the victim went to get the cigarettes, one of the suspects grabbed the victim and demanded his money. Another suspect brandished a handgun at the victim. The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.....

Domestic Violence Arrest in Sonora

Sonora, CA.....On December 8, 2008 at approximately 10:30 PM, Deputy Derocher, Brouillette and Champlin were dispatched to a reported assault involving a firearm. When Deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim. The victim reported that her estranged husband returned to her residence and assaulted her and then threatened her with a gun. The Suspect was located at another residence nearby and was arrested....
