CHP is reporting a motorcycle down at Hwy 108 at Confidence Road in Tuolumne County with crews responding. Please use caution if traveling in the area. More to come as needed.....Roadway clear as of 12:10pm.

CHP is reporting a traffic hazard at Hwy 4 just west of Angels Camp. There is apparently an auto with equipment in the roadway. Please use caution if traveling in the area. Roadway clear at 2:20pm.

Oakdale Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries in Collision

Copperopolis, CA...A 57 year old Oakdale man suffered major injuries on July 11th, 2009 at O'Byrnes Ferry Road and Black Creek Drive in Copperopolis when his Harley Davidson hit a bank then he was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported via air ambulance to Modesto Memorial with major injuries. Full CHP report enclosed...

Tuolumne County, CA....A vehicle fire that spread to vegetation caused 33 acres to burn on Monday July 13th at Hwy 108 at Tulloch Road. Multiple crews responded including COLUMBIA: AIR ATTACK 440, COPTER 404, TANKER 82, 83, GROVELAND: BATTALION CHIEF 4416, ENGINE 4476, STANDARD: ENGINE 4455, 4475, PREVENTION 4421, BLANCHARD: ENGINE 4456, TWAIN HARTE: ENGINE 4460, 4465, COPPEROPOLIS: ENGINE 4462 GREEN SPRINGS: ENGINE 4468 BASELINE: DOZER 4445, HAND CREW 3, 5; LOCAL UNITS RESPONDING: OAKDALE: CHIEF 2, ENGINE 52, 61, MONO VISTA TCFD: WATER TENDER 569, JAMESTOWN TCFD: WATER TENDER 768. Stanislaus National Forest Law Enforcement News for Week of June 23, 2009

On June 23, 2009, a 67 year old male departed Crabtree Trailhead on the Summit District for a 5 day backpack trip into Emigrant Wilderness. He had no family members or friends who were aware of his trip or his return date. Four or five days later, while hiking back, the man became lost. He apparently walked south into the West Fork of Cherry Creek instead of walking west along the Meadow Creek trail. Over the next 5 days, he tried to find his way, ran out of food, and left his gear somewhere in the Wilderness. He lit 3 or 4 wildfires in isolated patches of timber to attract attention. Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp Police Department is asking the public for help in locating a missing person, Roger Wallace Sheltrown. Sheltrown was last seen in Angels Camp on October 31, 1995. Sheltrown is a white male 5’11”, 150 lbs., brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a tattoo on his right wrist of barbed wire with flames and an unknown tattoo on his left hand....

Driving Under The Influence Cause of ATV Rollover on July 4th

Copperopolis, CA.....CHP is stating driving under the influence is what caused a solo ATV rollover on Saturday evening, July 4th at Aero Road in Copperopolis, that we reported on that evening. The passenger suffered a concussion and abrasions and was transported via medi-flight to Doctor's Hospital of Modesto, the driver did not suffer any injuries. Five Arrests for DUI's This Holiday Weekend According to Officer Jaime Castillo of San Andreas CHP

"San Andreas CHP Maximum Enforcement Period stats are as follows. From 1800 (6PM) Friday July 3 to Midnite July 5. Statewide stats have not been sent down yet. Locally, 5 persons arrested for DUI, 4 of which involved in collisions. We investigated a total of 5 traffic collisions. Last year during the MEP, we investigated 4 Traffic collisions, none of which were involving DUI. We arrested 3 persons for DUI and 1 person for drunk in public."

FIRE NEWS....Crews Responding to a Fire at La Grange Road

Emergency crews are responding to a fire at La Grange Road just north of Bonds Flat Road. Updates to come if needed. UPDATE 12:09am, John just spoke with Captain Stewart of CAL Fire, this was fire was small and contained quickly. He also mentioned that they have had multiple incidents of illegal fireworks this evening. It has been a busy night so far, luckily none of the fires have been of significant size. Lisa Williams will be preparing a summary of the weekend's incidents.
