San Jose, CA...Update from the Sheriff's Dept...On May 26, 2021 at approximately 6:34AM, the Sheriff's Office received a call of an active shooter at a Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) building located at 101 West Younger Avenue in San Jose.
Two Stabbed Near Heaven for Kids Playground Early this Morning

Sonora, CA...A 24-year-old Jamestown man and a 17-year-old male from Sonora report they were stabbed in the parking lot at 460 Greenley Road early this morning. At approximately 12:09 am, the Sonora Police Department was notified of a medical request for two stab victims at Heaven for Kids Playground on Greenly Road. Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies and Sonora Police Officers arrived shortly after the call and secured the scene.

The promotions consisted of: Rachelle Whiting- Promoted from Lieutenant to Captain, Chris Villegas- Promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant, Rudi Leon- Promoted from Corporal to Sergeant, DeAyrian Greaves- Promoted from Corporal to Sergeant, Samantha King- Promoted from Deputy to Corporal, Bret Belshe- Promoted from Deputy to Corporal, Brandon Reynolds- Promoted from Correctional Officer to Correctional Corporal, Megan High- Promoted from Correctional Officer to Correctional Corporal. New hires consisted of: Joseph DeAngelis- Deputy Sheriff, William Gray- Deputy Sheriff, Jade Kesterson- Dispatch Clerk.
