Icy Road Conditions Cause Minor Injury Accident This Morning at Hwy 4 and Darby Russell

CHP is reporting a minor injury collision at Hwy 4 and Darby Russell due to icy conditions. Cal Trans is currently sanding the roadways as they are completely iced up. Please use caution and drive very slow this morning.

Avery, CA...Emergency Crews are working an accident with lanes blocked in Arnold. Please use caution in the affected area of Hwy 4 and Moran Road. CHP has also requested a large vehicle tow. The roads are slick out there be careful. Updates to come if needed. Update as of 8:45pm...There is some type of delivery truck off of the embankment with two tow trucks on scene. No further details available. Update as of 11:15pm, Roadway Clear.

Sonora, CA...On February 8, 2009, at approximately 2:50 P.M., Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy Will Healy was flagged down by a citizen, in the Junction Shopping Center parking lot. The citizen located a suspicious device in the parking lot area near Gottschalks and McDonalds. ....

Emergency crews are responding to a vehicle collision at Hwy 4 just east of Meko Road. Please use caution if traveling in the area. The roads are slick this morning so please be careful. Update as of 9:21am, Non-Injury. They are clearing roadway now.

Road conditions are very slick this morning. CHP is reporting a solo vehicle went off roadway at Hwy 4 just west of Arnold Byway. Please use caution while traveling. And remember to carry chains as chain control are in affect. Roadway clear as of 11:13am.

CHP is reporting two more traffic collisions this morning. One is at Hwy 4 and Upper Moran Road. No further details as of yet. The second is appears to be a solo vehicle off the roadway in Mountain Ranch. No further details available at this time. More to come if needed. Update 8:50am, ambulance has been dispatched to Mountain Ranch Accident. One way traffic...We are finding out exact location now. Location per CHP Officer, Jaime Castillo, is 4-4.5 miles below Mountain Ranch. 9:40am, Roadway Clear. CHP Release for Mountain Ranch Accident Enclosed....

More Traffic Collisions are being reported at this hour. There is a solo vehicle collision with ambulance responding at Hwy 4 just east of Cabbage Patch. Lane is Blocked, so please use caution. Apparently the person was reckless driving before the collision. Roadway Clear as of 10:40am.

The Sheriffs office has recently received several variations of the same e-mail scam. The target receives an official looking e-mail from a financial institution. It advises the recipient that, "all users must confirm their bank ATM Card with our existing database". It goes on to state "To reactivate your card, please call ---- ---- -------."
