Attempted Murder Charges for San Andreas Man After Striking Woman With Hammer

San Andreas, CA...On 2-4-19 at approx. 0250 hours CCSO Deputies responded to a residence in the 600 block of Pope Street in San Andreas for a possible physical altercation. A caller to CCSO Dispatch reported that 45 year old Donovan Agasi (of San Andreas) was at that location and possibly causing harm to the resident, a 69 year old female. Upon arrival Deputies detained Donovan Agasi and located the female injured inside the residence.

In preparation for the predicted heavy rain and potential flooding, the City of Angels Camp has free sandbags available 24/7 at the Angels Camp Police Department. You will need to fill the bags yourself. Bags, sand, and a shovel are available for use.

Michelle Haviland May Be Missing, Have You Seen Her?

Angels Camp, CA...Update...On 2-4-19 at approx. 0230 hours, Michelle was located by an Angels Camp Police Officer on the side of the road near the intersection of Highways 4 and 49 in the city of Angels Camp. She was treated by medics who were called to the scene and taken to an area hospital. She is no longer listed as a missing person. Missing Person: On 2/1/19 Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a commercial business located in Angels Camp. Upon investigation, CCSO Deputies learned the vehicle is registered to a female who is now listed as a missing person, Michelle Haviland with an address out of Columbia, California. During the investigation CCSO Deputies and Angels Camp Police Officers contacted family members and neighbors of Michelle. Deputies learned Michelle suffers from depression and possibly dementia and may be off her medications. A neighbor reported Michelle was possibly en route to the Sonoma area.

DUI & Felony Evading Charges for Copperopolis Man Arrested after Pursuit

Jamestown, CA...On 02/01/2019, at approximately 1:14 am, Officers Dillon and Mahaney were conducting a traffic stop for unsafe speed and weaving on a white, 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup on State Route 120, east of Yosemite Junction. While speaking with the driver, later identified as 47 year old Copperopolis resident, Benjamin Beck, Officer Mahaney observed signs of alcohol intoxication. As Officer Mahaney questioned Mr. Beck about his alcohol consumption, Mr. Beck accelerated away and continued driving eastbound on State Route 120 reaching speeds of 70-75 MPH. Mr. Beck lost control of the Silverado, spinning out of control near the intersection of State Route 120 and Enterprise Road. Mr. Beck continued driving eastbound on State Route 120. The officers resumed the pursuit. Due to his unsafe speed for a sharp curve in the roadway, Mr. Beck was unable to maintain control of his vehicle crossing over the westbound lane, and off onto the north shoulder.

55 Year Old Oakdale Woman Guillermina Goff Lost Her Life in Hwy 120 Collision

Sonora, CA...On Thursday, January 31, 2019, at approximately 6:15 pm, 37 year old Cinthia Beglinger and her passenger, 10 month old Arias Ables, both from Modesto, were traveling eastbound on State Route 120 in a 2004 Ford Explorer, west of Sims Road. A 55 year old Oakdale resident was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius westbound on State Route 120, approaching Beglinger's location. Beglinger failed to safely negotiate a right curve in the roadway and crossed into the westbound lane, directly into the path of the Toyota. The vehicles collided head-on.

Squatters Arrested After Occupying Mono Way Building

Sonora, CA...The property owner of a building located on the 13000 block of Mono Way in Sonora called the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office ‪Wednesday morning‬ after he discovered squatters inside. Deputies arrived a short time later and surrounded the building before ordering the subjects outside. 47-year-old Jerome Zylstra, 32-year-old Brian Shrader, 39-year-old Jessica Gogas, and 41-year-old Jeremy Tosto exited the building.

CBP Officers Seize Largest Amount of Fentanyl in Border Patrol History

Tucson, AZ...U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Nogales Commercial Facility seized nearly $4.6 million in fentanyl and methamphetamine totaling close to 650 pounds on Saturday from a Mexican national when he attempted to enter the United States through the Port of Nogales. The seizure is the largest seizure of fentanyl in CBP history. The methamphetamine seizure represents the third largest at an Arizona port.
