Baltimore, MD...The NAACP issued the following statement regarding the case against Myon Burrell. As a teenager in 2003, he was accused and convicted of the killing of 11-year-old Tyesha Edwards in Minnesota. In a recent story, the Associated Press uncovered a lack of evidence in his conviction.
Arrest for Unlawful Sexual Activity With a Minor in Valley Springs Area

Valley Springs, CA...On January 30th, 2020 at around 7:30 PM the Calaveras Sheriff’s Office received information that Tanner Lee Harrison (21 Year old from Valley Springs) engaged in unlawful sexual activity with a 13 year old juvenile. During the investigation, Detectives learned that Harrison originally met the victim via social media. Despite knowing the victim’s true age, Harrison convinced the juvenile to meet him during the early morning hours in a rural area of Valley Springs where he subsequently engaged in illegal sexual activity with the victim.
Harrison was arrested at his home in Valley Springs without incident. He was charged with several crimes related to forcible sexual activity with a child under the age of 14. He is being held in the Calaveras County Jail with a bail of $150,000.00.

Pioneer, CA...From the Amador Sheriff's Dept..."On January 23, 2020, ACCNET agents acted on an anonymous tip and served a search warrant at two different residences in Pioneer. With the information provided and evidence found on scene, two felony arrests were made for narcotic related offenses and child endangerment. Thanks again to the citizens of Amador County for continuing to report suspicious activity."
Modesto Man Arrested on Check Forgery & Other Charges

Sonora, CA...From the Sonora Police Department..."37-year-old Jason H. Parker of Modesto was arrested on suspicion of check forgery, attempting to pass fictitious checks, and providing false identification to a Police Officer. Shortly after 7:00 p.m. yesterday evening, the Sonora Police Department received a call from employees at the Stockton Road Savemart regarding a subject attempting to pass fraudulent checks. The officer arrived within minutes and quickly detained the subject identified by store personnel.
