West Point, CA...On August 23rd, 2020, Cal Fire requested Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies to respond to a residence in the 1700 block of Jurs Road in West Point to the scene of a possible explosion and resulting fire. One person had suffered burn injuries and had been transported to an area hospital. The fire was limited to the interior of the house and did not extend to outside vegetation.

Warrant Issued for Suspect Identified in Arnold Laundromat Burglary |

Arnold, CA...On July 16th, 2020, the owner of a coin-operated laundromat located in 2000 block Hwy 4, Arnold, contacted the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office regarding a burglary to the business. Deputies were dispatched and began an investigation. Deputies learned that a $3,000.00 coin machine was vandalized, and approximately $400 dollars in coins were stolen. Deputies obtained security footage and other evidence that ultimately led to the identification of suspect William Thomas Roraback. The investigation was turned over to the Detective Division to continue the investigation. The Detectives worked with the District Attorney’s Office and ultimately obtained a warrant for the arrest of Roraback.

Juvenile Located Safe & Suspect Who Abducted Child in Arnold Arrested in Nevada & In Custody |

San Andreas, CA...Rebecca Boyett was arrested by the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office (State of Nevada) on August 31, 2020 at approximately 10:00pm. The child (Selene) was located in the company of Rebecca and was taken into protective custody by Nevada authorities.

Mokelumne Hill, CA...On August 29, 2020, at approximately 1138 hours, the Stockton Communications Center received a call of a traffic collision involving a solo motorcycle on State Route 26, near Sport Hill Road in the Mokelumne Hill area. Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Andreas Area Office responded to the scene and discovered a deceased male motorcycle rider.

CHP Helicopter Rescues Hiker Near Bear Lake |

Pinecrest, CA...Yesterday morning a hiker was suffering from significant medical complications near Bear Lake in Tuolumne County. He activated a SPOT Device (GPS location beacon) alerting Search and Rescue of his need for assistance. CHP Helicopter (H-20) quickly located the hiker, landing nearby. Paramedic Hallam began treating the hiker and loaded him into H-20, before flying to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort where an ambulance continued treatment.

Arnold, CA...Non-Custodial Abduction Arnold, Ca, Suspect Rebecca Lynne Boyett, 43 years old, 5-0, 105 lbs, red hair blue eyes. Last observed driving a 2020 Dodge Ram Pickup, white in color with a California license plate of; 55367Y2. On August 30, 2020 the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an 11 year old runaway juvenile from the 1000 block of Blagen Rd. Arnold, CA. During the investigation deputies learned that 11 year old, Selene, went to a friend’s house for an overnight visit.
