It Can Now Be Released that 56-year-old James William Dewar of Big Oak Flat Lost His Life on August 8 |

Groveland, CA...The sad family notifications have been made and the driver that perished was 56-year-old James William Dewar of Big Oak Flat, CA. On August 8, 2021, at approximately 2:20 pm, Mr. Dewar from Big Oak Flat, Ca was driving his 2013 Chevy Equinox northbound on Priest Coulterville Road, south of State Route 120 at a high rate of speed. The driver allowed his vehicle to travel to the left, across the southbound lane and off the roadway where it crashed into a hillside. After striking the hillside, the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof. The driver succumbed to his injuries as a result of the crash.

Copperopolis, CA...An Elk Grove woman was driving a Toyota Avalon northbound on Obyrnes Ferry Rd,approaching the posted stop sign at SR-4. A Modesto man was driving an F-150 westbound on SR-4, east of Obyrnes Ferry Rd, in the westbound traffic lane at approximately 55 MPH. The Toyota entered the intersection, and traveled directly into the path of the pickup. As a result, the front of the F-150 collided with the right side of the Toyota. Both vehicles traveled out of control and came to rest on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Valley Springs, CA...8-8-21 1330 mid 20’ male from Stockton was swimming near the eucalyptus point Lake Camanche. Experienced difficulty went under water. Calaveras county marine safety deputies, East Bay MUD Rangers and Amador SO were dispatched to assist in locating the victim. He was located at about 5:00pm by CCSO divers in about 8 feet of water, 50 feet from shore.

Jamestown, CA...$10,000 Missing Person Award for John Stivers. 52-year-old John Stivers of Jamestown was reported missing. John was last seen headed to Sonora. John has not been seen or heard from since. Deputies located John’s vehicle parked along side Campo Seco Road in Jamestown, but John was not with his vehicle.
