Man Found Deceased in Twain Harte Area Identified as Rod Trujillo, 31 from Sonora.

Twain Harte, CA...Human remains found in forested area of Twain Harte have been identified as 31-year-old Rod Trujillo. Trujillo had been reported as missing to Sonora PD by family members on October 30th of 2021. The investigation is on-going but there is no foul play suspected at this time. We express our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Trujillo.

33 Year Old Clay Aho of Tuolumne was Victim in Early Morning, January 30th Fatal Collision

Jamestown, CA...The sad notifications have been made and CHP Sonora has released the name of the deceased. At an undetermined time in the early morning of January 30th, 2022, Clay Aho of Tuolumne, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup eastbound on State Route 120, east of Tulloch Dam Road. For an unknown reason, the driver allowed his vehicle to travel to the left of the roadway. The Chevrolet rotated and slid off the roadway and overturned several times. The truck came to rest in the center median. That same morning at approximately 7:45 am, CHP officers received a call of the crashed truck and responded to the scene.

CHP Sonora Seeking Information on Early Morning, Fatal, January 30th Collision

Jamestown, CA...At an undetermined time in the early morning of January 30th, 2022, an unidentified male, approximately 30-40 years of age, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup eastbound on State Route 120, east of Tulloch Dam Road. Veteran Stockton Fire Captain Max Fortuna Shot & Killed While Extinguishing Dumpster Fire

Stockton, CA...Today, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. A press conference was held to share information about the loss of Captain Max Fortuna. Stockton Fire Chief Richard Edwards shared the following statement: “This morning at approximately 4:45 a.m. the Stockton Fire Department’s Emergency Communications Division received a 911 call for a dumpster fire in the area of Washington and Aurora Streets. Engine 2 arrived on the scene a short time later and found a dumpster fire impinging on a structure. As firefighters were extinguishing the fire, gunshots were heard, and the Fire Captain of Engine 2 had been struck. Firefighters quickly transitioned to providing EMS care and transported him to the hospital.

Charlotte, NC...Douglas Wright, Jr., 27, of Charlotte, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge David C. Keesler today and pleaded guilty to mail fraud, for stealing merchandise from Amazon worth over $273,000, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

Probation Search Leads to Arrest for Weapons Violation

West Point, CA...On January 25th, 2022, at about 9:00 AM, Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputies and Calaveras County Probation officers conducted a probation search at a residence located in the 400 block of Main Street, West Point. The purpose of the search was to ensure that Nicholas Harley Caspary, age 32, from West Point, CA, was complying with the terms and conditions of his probation.
