24 Year Old San Jose Man Loses Life In Motorcycle Collision

Rail Road Flat, CA...At 24 year old San Jose man lost his life this afternoon in a collision on Jesus Maria Road. He was riding his 2001 Suzuki southbound on Jesus Maria Rd at an unknown speed. A Valley Springs woman was driving a Chevy Malibu southbound on Jesus Maria Rd and was stopped partially blocking the southbound traffic lane and partially on the west shoulder. As the rider approached he applied his brakes but, due to his unsafe speed, he was unable to stop in time. The motorcycle rear ended the Chevy. He was partially ejected from his motorcycle. He was wearing a full face DOT approved helmet at the time of this collision.
Quick Work By Money Mart Staff Leads To Arrest Of Waterford Couple For Financial Fraud

Sonora, CA...Quick thinking and work by Money Mart staff and the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department led to the arrest of an out of area couple for what appears to be serial financial fraud. "Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Money Mart in the Junction Shopping Center for a report that 36-year-old David Tougas was attempting to cash a stolen check. As Deputies arrived, the suspect who matched the description given, got into the front passenger seat of a blue 2000 Volkswagen Station Wagon and immediately pulled out of the stall and headed towards the parking lot in front of Subway. Deputies caught up to the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Paloma, CA...Michael Kriletich was born in San Leandro, CA on February 10, 1953. He attended the seminary on Mt Diablo from age 14 to age 18. At 19 he met Diane Jenkins and 2 years later they were married. Together they formed a loving couple and tight team for over 41 years of marriage. Michael and Diane began their family along Wallace Creek, a remote canyon in the Santa Cruz Mountains. After their two sons, Sean and Wade were born, the family moved to Jackson and then, in 1985, to Paloma.
Investigation Underway In Deadly Rail Road Flat Motorhome Fire

Rail Road Flat, CA...On 09-12-16 at about 0750hrs, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a structure fire on the 900 block of Ridge Road in Rail Road Flat. Upon arrival, Deputies observed a fully engulfed motorhome. Calaveras County Fire Investigation Unit and Detectives responded to the motorhome and located a deceased person inside the burnt structure. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending autopsy results. The origin of the fire is currently under investigation.
Inmate Attacks Officer At Pelican Bay State Prison

Crescent City, CA...Officials at Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP) are investigating an assault by an inmate that sent three employees to the hospital. At 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, inmate Eliseo Pichaco, 32, entered a correctional sergeant’s office and attacked him, striking his face and upper body. Two other correctional officers sustained minor injuries during the attack. Officers used physical force and chemical agents to subdue the attack.

Bakersfield, CA...California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are looking for an offender who walked away from a Bakersfield re-entry facility on Sunday, Sept. 11. Stephen Beavers, 30, was transferred from Wasco State Prison to the Male Community Re-entry Program (MCRP) in Kern County on Aug. 19. After being notified at approximately 7 p.m. Sept. 11 that Beavers’ GPS device had been tampered with, staff initiated an emergency search.
