Man Convicted of CHP Officer Deaths in 1978 Dies of Natural Causes

San Diego, CA...Inmate Luis Valenzuela Rodriguez died of natural causes at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday April 14, 2016 at a local hospital in Chula Vista. Inmate Rodriguez’s died of natural causes. He was 60 years old at the time of his death. Inmate Rodriguez was initially sentenced to death in 1981. His conviction was later reduced to life without parole in 1991. He was committed to CDCR in July 1981 from Yolo County for the murders of California Highway Patrol officers William M. Freeman and Roy P. Blecher in West Sacramento in December 1978.

San Andreas Car Jacking Suspect Arrested In Reno

San Andreas, CA...On the evening of 04/13/16 suspect Christopher Morrison was arrested by the Reno Police Department while driving the stolen vehicle from the San Andreas carjacking incident that occurred on 4/11/16. Christopher Morrison of Manteca is the primary suspect in the alleged carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon investigation in Calaveras County. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating with the District Attorney’s Office and Reno Police Department to further investigate and prosecute this case locally in addition to the stolen vehicle charge that Morrison is facing in Reno.

58 Year Old Sonora Woman Missing...(Happy Ending...She Has Been Located)

Sonora, CA...Last seen leaving home on Columbia Way in Sonora that she shares with her daughter around 3:30PM to 4 PM. A neighbor reported seeing her walking down the road towards Sonora High School and that she looked confused. Patricia does not have a cell phone or any means of contact. Please share this and help us locate Patricia. If you see her please call the Sheriff's Office at 533-5815.

San Joaquin County Pair Arrested On Drug & Other Charges At Black Oak

Tuolumne, CA...Last night on 04/12/2016 at around 11:19 PM, Deputy Speer and Deputy Sandelin contacted a man and a woman at Black Oak Casino after seeing drug use paraphernalia in a parked 2004 gray Chevrolet Malibu. An ounce and a half of methamphetamine, drug use paraphernalia, and reported stolen property were located during a search of the vehicle.

Angels Camp, CA...Under the coordination of Sgt. Bob Fienberg, the Calaveras Sheriff Volunteers Capt. Betty Miner, Lt. Ed Anderson, Sgt. Vic Farina, Sgt. Aurora Weatherby, Louis Chiu, Ed Evans, Jim Garrick, Bruce Greenfield, Sandra Kraft, Barry Macler, Judy McMurtry, Ron Parker, and Joe Tarantino provided patrol duty at the annual Gem Show in the Calaveras County Fairground this past weekend. This annual public event was well attended by many exhibitors, vendors and shoppers. Under beautiful weather, everyone enjoyed this fun filled event.
