Good News...Angels Camp Juvenile Located Safe

Angels Camp, CA...The runaway juvenile, Crystal Houle, that was reported on 12/17/14 has been located and returned home. On 12/21/14, at approximately 1030 AM, Sacramento Police Department notified the Angels Camp Police that the vehicle Houle was driving was located, and that they were attempting to locate Houle. A short time later Sacramento PD called back to report that an officer located Houle at an address in Sacramento. Houle was initially released to the custody of Sacramento County Child Protective Services, as is normal procedure, and her mother was notified and responded to Sacramento to pick up Houle and bring her home....

Sonora, CA...On 12/15/2014 about 8:35 P.M. Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over a vehicle for expired registration on Hess Avenue near Mono Way. A driver’s license check revealed the suspect, Cody Collins, was driving on a suspended license. Collins was placed under arrest and his vehicle was searched pursuant to the arrest. Deputies located, a loaded handgun, and 48.4 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle. During a search of Collins person a switchblade knife was found in his pants pocket. ....

Search Warrant & Felony Arrests In Sonora

Sonora, CA... 4 November 2014, several storage sheds and containers belonging to the City of Sonora were burglarized. Among the items stolen was a large amount of ammunition and firefighting equipment. 10 December 2014, Aaron Jess, 31 of Sonora went to a local gun dealer and attempted to sell some of the stolen ammunition. The gun dealer contacted the police department, and Jess was contacted and detained. Jess was also in the possession of a large amount of methamphetamine, and other items indicating he was selling methamphetamine. Jess was also in possession of a bullet proof vest.

Angels Camp, CA...You’ve Won a Prize! The scam artist explains that the victim has won a significant prize (large sums of money, vacations, etc.) but a “processing fee” is required. The scammer indicates that the prize will be finalized after the processing fee is paid. This processing fee ranges from hundreds to thousands of dollars. The scammer will then request that the victim purchase a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer as a method of paying the processing fee. When the unsuspecting victim make the payment, the scammer promises to deliver the prize, but the delivery never happens. Legitimate lotteries and contests will never ask you to pay a fee to collect a prize....

Tuolumne County Sheriffs Office Makes Arrests In Stabbing Case

Columbia, CA...On Friday 11/21/14 Tuolumne County Deputies responded to the 22000 block of Gunsight Road, Columbia on a report of a stabbing. Arriving Deputies met with the victim a 27 year old male. The victim was suffering from a “stab wound” to the neck. Before being taken to the hospital for treatment, he was able to tell the Deputies that he had been in his residence when an acquaintance “broke in” and stabbed him. At the time he was able to identify his attacker as, 22 year old Michael Gilbert...

Kelly Keel Found Unresponsive In Jail Cell

San Andreas, CA...On 12/01/14 at 0740 hours, The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office began investigating an in-custody death at the jail facility. Correctional staff found Kelly Keel (59) of West Point unresponsive in his jail cell during a routine security check. Mr. Keel was being housed by himself at the time of his death. The cause of his death is unknown pending an autopsy....

Avery Woman Arrested For Calaveras Lumber Burglary

Angels Camp, CA...On 11/17/2014 at approximately 7:40 AM, the Angels Camp Police Department responded to 155 South Main Street, Calaveras Lumber, for a reported burglary. A hole had been cut in the fence near the rear of the store and tools were stolen. It appeared the suspect was interrupted in the process of attempting to steal items because numerous items were stacked near the hole in the fence....
