Alligator Seized In Jamestown

Jamestown, CA...The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office received information from a concerned citizen about a Jamestown man who was rumored to be in possession of an alligator. The Fish and Wildlife Warden was contacted and accompanied deputies to the location. The 3 1/2 foot alligator was located on the premise in a heated, rubber lined tank and was seized by the Department of Fish and Wildlife after their investigation determined that the person in possession was not permitted to have the restricted species.

Draft Commercial Cannabis Ban Ordinance Has Been Released

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Planning Department has released the draft of the Commercial Cannabis Ban Ordinance. Its' intent...."It is the purpose and intent of this chapter to prohibit, to the maximum extent allowed under state law, with limited exceptions, the commercial, medical, and recreational cultivation, manufacture, testing, distribution, transportation, and storage of cannabis in order to preserve the public peace, health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Calaveras County and the environment while retaining the ability of patients to have access to medical cannabis in the County to the extent deemed necessary under state law. Three Killed In Shooting Rampage In Fresno. Suspect Yells "Allahu Akbar" When Taken Into Custody!

Fresno, CA...Today, suspect 39-year-old Kori Ali Muhammad shouted "Allahu Akbar" while being taken into custody in the shooting deaths of three men in Fresno. One death was the passenger in a PG&E truck. Mayor Lee Brand released the following statement in the aftermath of three people shot and killed in a shooting spree today in central Fresno:

Riverside Man Donald L. Culver, 60 Lost His Life In Motorcycle Accident On La Grange Road

La Grange, CA...On Friday, April 14, 2017, at approximately 7:02 pm, 60 year old Riverside resident, Donald L. Culver, was riding his 1997 Harley Davidson northbound on La Grange Road, south of Old Don Pedro Road. Culver drove over the solid double yellow lines, across the southbound lane, and off of the west road edge. Culver lost control of the motorcycle and it overturned. Culver was ejected over 100 feet and sustained fatal injuries. The cause of this collision is still under investigation and as such, impairment has not yet been determined.

Minor Injuries In Hwy 49 Rear End Collision

San Andreas, CA...A 41 year old Valley Springs man was driving his 2002 GMC northbound on State Route 49, south of Pool Station Road at approximately 25-30 mph and behind a 1994 Toyota. A 21 year old San Andreas woman was driving her Toyota northbound on State Route 49, south of Pool Station Road at approximately 25 mph and beginning to slow to a stop. She came to a stop and was preparing to make a left turn onto Pool Station Road. Due to the Valley Spring man's unsafe speed he was unable to stop. Consequently, the front end of GMC collided with the back end of the Toyota. After the collision both Parties drove to the right shoulder and waited for CHP.

Jamestown Collision Leads To DUI Arrest

Jamestown, CA...On April 12, 2017 at approximately 9:40 pm, 21 year old Sonora resident, Abigail Stewart, was driving her 2004 Subaru Forester northbound on Sawmill Flat Road approaching the intersection with Rambler Road, while under the influence of alcohol. Due to her high level of alcohol intoxication, Ms. Stewart allowed her vehicle to drift off of the east road edge. The Subaru continued along the road until it struck a large rock and then a large tree. The large tree effectively stopped Ms. Stewart’s vehicle.

San Jose Man Arrested For Felony DUI In Hwy 12 Collision

San Andreas, CA....A San Jose man was traveling westbound on SR-12 east of Double Springs Road at an unknown rate of speed. Due to his intoxication he swerved onto the westbound shoulder, lost control of his Pontiac and it overturned. He was arrested for suspicion of Felony DUI, and both he and his passenger were transported to Mark Twain Medical Center and then life flighted to Modesto for treatment of their injuries.
