Murphys Homecoming Offers Two Days of Family Fun...Friday & Saturday July 18th & 19th.....Relive the Past and Watch Last Year's Video

Murphys, CA....Murphys Homecoming, two days of family fun, will be presented by the Murphys Community Club on Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19 in the Murphys Community Park. There is no admission charge. The time-honored event will kick off with a gathering in the park on Friday evening July 18 starting at 5:30 p.m. where Dick Hungerford and his Dixieland Band will perform. The club will provide some hors d’oeuvres and people are encouraged to bring a picnic supper. Wine, beer, and other beverages will be available for purchase, with money raised dedicated to park improvements.....

Mokelumne Hill 4th of July Parade Brings a Bundle of Small Town Memories to the Heart of Gold Country....Video Up Shortly!

Mokelumne Hill, CA....ThePineTree.net will be providing you with Full Video Coverage of this Year's Mokelumne Hill 4th of July Parade. We would like to express our deepest thanks to The Lovely Historic Hotel Leger for being our Sponsor......Moke Hill’s 4th of July parade brings a bundle of small town memories to the heart of the gold country. Fire engines and restored vintage cars, 4H clubs and cheerleaders, horse back riders and wild and wacky floats are the staples of this annual event. The day will kick off with a pancake breakfast by the Veterans in the “Town Hall” starting at 7am. The parade starts at 11am. Bratwurst will be sold by the Moke Hill Lions well into the afternoon. Other vending booths will sell a wide variety of parade/carnival goods and vendors can arrange for space at no cost......

Angels Camp, CA....Soroptimist International of Calaveras County held their annual installation of officers at Utica Park on June 22nd. Club members enjoyed a delightful Hawaiian luncheon with hula dancing at Utica Park as President-Elect Karen Strand took the helm as SICC's 2008-2009 President. Former Club member Normal Rash served as the presiding installation officer. Paulette Stelte lent her expertise as the day's M.C. and Kathi Flores and others provided delicious pot luck dishes......
