Don’t forget to buy your 2009 fishing licenses! Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,113,156 acre-feet of water. Water level rose slightly this week, and is at 960 ft. above sea level and 128 ft. from full capacity. Water in the main lake is approximately 59-61 degrees. The lake has turned over. Water is slightly stained to clear in the main lake.....

Angels Camp, CA.....For many Christmas enthusiasts its a tradition to string thousands of lights on the outside of their homes for the whole community to enjoy. There's nothing like the oh's and aw's of children in the backseat when you drive up to a home decorated in a winter wonderland of Christmas lights. Many families in Angels Oaks, Greenhorn Creek and Stelte have elaborately decorated their homes with thousands of Christmas Lights. As you drive through the subdivisions the streets are outlined with luminaries......

Columbia College International Film Series Begins January 12th

Films from Australia, India, Italy, Cuba, China, Sweden, Italy and Germany will be featured in the Columbia College international film series class this spring. Offered through the community education program, the class is scheduled on ten Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at Stage 3 Theatre in downtown Sonora. Films will have English subtitles and instructor Lloyd Schneider will lead discussions after each film. The viewing schedule...

Welcome to the North Pole! Santa’s helpers are getting gifts ready for delivery to the good boys and girls around the world on Christmas Eve! Can you find which shop in the village is busiest today? When you do, click on that shop to discover a fun activity inside. NORAD has confirmed that Santa and his fully-loaded, reindeer-powered sleigh took off from the North Pole and soared into the arctic sky at 6:00 a.m. EST (5:00 a.m. CST, 4:00 a.m. MST, 3:00 a.m. PST). NORAD radar is tracking Rudolph’s bright red nose, and satellite imagery is providing minute-by-minute coverage of Santa’s location.
