Thousands Lined The Streets For 2008 Arnold Independence Day Parade

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/07/2008 12:09 PM
Arnold, CA...We would like to thank GABA, The Greater Arnold Business Association, and the committee of volunteers along with Grand Marshal, Betty Ann Prescott, for doing a bang up job organizing this year's parade! There were some well thought out floats this year. As an example you could tell Hours upon Hours were spent on floats like the Pinebrook HOA float. This year even featured some great "Live Action" floats. I sure bet the fisherman on the Golden Pines float need a throat lozenge after his high energy "Fishing" all the way down the parade route. Jenny Roland started things off with a stirring A Capella singing of our national anthem. We have full parade video and over 200 photos. Thanks everyone for such a great parade. We hope you enjoy the parade video and photos as much as we enjoyed the parade. Parade Video and the Official Results from GABA are enclosed...

My Day at the Arnold Parade with One Piece of Candy~By Granger Hamilton

Posted by: Granger_Hamilton on 07/07/2008 02:40 PM
Arnold, CA….This has been the 4th year in attending the Arnold Independence Day Parade. The Arnold parade was really fun this year(or at least I enjoyed it and it looked like every one else did too!)There was lots of people, more people than I have ever seen, and many different and cool floats. Does any one know the best part of a parade? CANDY! Too bad I only got one piece. Next year I plan on sitting closer to the start of the parade, because that’s were all the candy was! I love helping my parents with The Pine Tree.....
