Murphys Irish Day Planning Underway....Parade Entry Blanks Available Online

Murphys, CA....Plans for the 2015 Murphys Irish Day, the popular community celebration that each year draws upwards of 10,000 people to the historic Gold Rush town, are well under way. Always presented on the third Saturday in March by the Murphys Business Association (MBA), this year’s event will be held Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. One of the first orders of business is the creation of the Irish Day Parade that will wend its way down Main St. to the swirl of bagpipes starting promptly at 11 a.m. Recognized as one of the premiere parades in the Mother Lode, it always presents a wide array Irish-themed floats, marching bands, youth groups, community organizations, classic cars and other motorized vehicles. Local fire departments and law enforcement are well represented and there is bound to be a leprechaun or two...
