Murphys, CA...Plan B, featuring Keno Rojas on guitar, Vince Rojas on bass, and Jim Bailey on drums, will provide the music when the Murphys Community Club’s First Friday of the Month event is presented August 4 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the tree shaded Murphys Community Park. The band is a local group that tailors its music to fit the audience, with an emphasis on rock hits from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.

Creating safe and thriving neighborhoods for our families is not an individual enterprise. It is important to be reminded of how many different agencies work with ordinary citizens to maintain the safety of our communities throughout Calaveras County.

Bear Valley, CA...This year’s celebration of Beethoven continues with piano soloist Vladislav Kern (son of piano legend Olga Kern) who joins Maestro Michael Morgan and the Bear Valley Orchestra in Beethoven’s fifth (and possibly greatest) piano concerto dubbed “Emperor” dedicated to Napoleon but later retracted by the composer. The evening’s program also includes Mendelssohn’s “Scottish” Symphony (no. 3).
