Maureen Elliott took these pictures on Monday morning after the weekend freeze that damaged many grape crops in Calaveras county....."I just took these photos of the grapevines at the Indian Rock Vineyard on Pennsylvania Gulch Road, Murphys this morning. Angels Camp, CA...Early Saturday Morning a scene out of the old west was played out just East of Angels Camp. A Cattle Drive started on Murphys Grade Road and then proceeded down Rolleri Bypass and ended at the Old Tryon Ranch off of Hwy 4. The Tryon Cattle Drive has become a local tradition every spring. Men and Women on horseback, and a large meandering herd of mooing cattle made their way from one spring pasture to another. Next year if this drive is to continue is will have to find another path.
