Hot Seats Compete in Unique Fundraiser....:"Calaveras Chairs for Charity"

Murphys, CA....Three county non-profit groups are collaborating on a unique fund-raiser called Calaveras Chairs for Charity – an auction of unusual chair art by professional artists and inspired craftsmen. Calaveras Chairs for Charity combines art, music and philanthropy fun in a Jan. 31 event at the Native Sons Hall in Murphys. Local artists, community groups and crafty individuals are creating chair art to be auctioned and rousing rounds of Xtreme Musical Chairs will entertain the crowd. The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes entertainment, a chair art exhibit and auctions and appetizers. A no-host bar will be available. Tickets are $25 and go on sale Oct. 15.....

"Pumpkin Junction" opens October 11th. Get your pumpkins, decorations, & pumpkin yummy treats! Proceeds go to the PTC - Parent Teachers Club. Hours: Mon - Fri 4pm to 8pm Sat - 9am to 8pm Sun - 10am to 5pm.....

Welcome Friends...In heaven it is always autumn! It must be because this season of the year, my favorite, enlivens all my senses and calms my spirit. In October I come alive! What a pleasure it was to wake up this morning and smell the aroma of earth after a good hard rain. I could hear the drops lightly hitting the canvas awnings that cover my backyard patios as the birds sang their welcoming songs to fall. Angels Camp, CA....(Updated with full video of Branding Discussion) Tonight at the Angels Camp City Council Meeting they passed the Angels Camp Branding Study plan and appointed a committee to start on the implementation phase. We will be posting video of the meeting and also more about the committee later today. We have uploaded the Branding Study to our servers and it is a great document that takes hard looks and realistic goals. It is a large document so a broadband connection is a must...

The best part is that you’ll travel comfortably by bus without the tiresome drive or concern over costly gasoline and bridge tolls. Murphys, CA....Patagonia returns to Murphys for a fifth Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Tour with an exciting new program. Instead of the usual single weekend festival, films this year will be screened on four evenings at four different venues. Two evenings will be free. Murphys, CA...The Hatcher Winery Team dethroned the Cluster Busters team of Ron Lawrence, Alan Hoffman who were striving for a Fourpete. The wet weather did nothing to soak the spirits of the competitors or even the crowds. Murphys was filled to the brim again on Saturday with the Grape Stomp in the park and the Goldrush Street Fair on Main Street. Well over 100 teams stomped and crushed their way to the coveted title...
