Tuolumne County, CA... Travel and tourism is the largest private sector employer in Tuolumne County and among the largest employers throughout the world.

Since 1984, when President Reagan signed a proclamation urging citizens to observe the first full week of May with “appropriate ceremonies and activities,” the tourism industry has continued the tradition.

For 2012, tourism nationally generated $2 trillion in economic output with $855.4 billion spent directly by domestic and international travelers who also contributed $129 billion in tax revenue. The tax revenue alone saves each US household $1,060 per year....

Updated...Lockeford Man Alan David Rudd Loses Life in Motorcycle Accident

Burson, CA...Lockeford resident Alan David Rudd, 46 was driving his motorcycle westbound on Sr-26 last night approaching Burson Rd at an unknown rate of speed. The roadway at this location turns sharply to the left. For an unknown reason the rider failed to turn his motorcycle to follow the roadway. The Honda left the north roadway edge and struck a wooden post and sign. This impact caused him to lose control and he was thrown from his motorcycle. The motorcycle became airborne, eventually landing on the north side of a barbwire fence, north of the roadway....

Creme Brulee is a classic French dessert which dates as early as 1691. It is loved by many including, and especially, me. I love the cool creamy custard contrasted with the super thin crispy caramel sugar shell, and the crunch and melt that happens wile eating it. Mmmm, just the thought makes me happy! A few years back, I modified my traditional recipe by adding cardamom, which is one of my favorite spices. It is like a peppery nutmeg, and is often .....
