The Beloved Annual “Celebrate Life” Art Auction is going VIRTUAL
Jackson, CA...The show must go on for the 21st Annual Hospice of Amador & Calaveras “Celebrate Life” Art Auction, and it willꟷVIRTUALLYꟷon Friday, September 18 on Facebook live.  This year’s event promises the same excitement as in years’ past, with a live art auction, a raffle-style drawing for valuable prizes, and the ever-popular final event of the evening, which is being called, “I Stand for Hospice.” Director of Community Outreach Wendy Mathis, the lead organizer of the event said, “We’ve been gathering donations of original art and raffle prizes, and we are so excited to see local artists and businesses stepping up during such a challenging time to help us reach our fundraising goal. Every year we are amazed at the community’s generosity, but considering this year’s challenges, it is even more special to receive this kind of support.”

In past years, more than $15,000 has been raised during the final event of the night. This year, “I Stand for Hospice” will consist of a final slideshow comprised of pictures sent in by members of the community who have participated “virtually” and pledged funds electronically, prior to the event.

“I Stand for Hospice” donations in any amount are welcomed, Mathis said: “We appreciate $5, $50, $500 or more! Every single donation adds to our direct patient care needs and helps tremendously.”

To participate in “I Stand for Hospice,” visit www.hospiceofamador.com/donations and make a donation electronically, or send a check to Hospice in any amount, to the address below. To be included in the slide show, email an image of the donor(s) holding a homemade sign that says, “I Stand for Hospice” by September 1. Donors may also call 209-223-5500 to make a pledge over the phone with a credit card.

If you are an artist who would like to donate an auction item, or a business owner who would like to contribute an auction item or raffle prize, contact Wendy at 209-223-5500.

For more information on the virtual 21st Annual “Celebrate Life” Art Auction, including sponsorship packages, visit www.hospiceofamador.com to download a sponsorship form.

All forms and donations may be mailed to Wendy Mathis at 1500 S. Hwy 49, Ste 205, Jackson, CA, 95642.
