GREATER ARNOLD BUSINESS ASSOCIATION AND COMMUNITY
PO BOX 2709
ARNOLD, CA 95223
10/4/21
Greetings:
The Greater Arnold Business Association and Community, AKA (GABA) has been a stable and viable organization, founded over 40 years ago to promote the businesses and identity of Arnold and the Highway 4 corridor. The group has been successful by organizing such events as the summer music series, local car shows, of July Parades, holiday events to engage all residents and the development of the 'Come to Arnold' website.
That was then, and this is now. The current status of GABA has experienced a loss of membership, loss of focus on the issues that matter to a small self-reliant community and the individuals to make that happen. The initial goals have been overlooked or abandoned, the very goals that made it successful in the past. Times have changed, but the goals of local business and the community have not. Technology has presented many challenges for local businesses and we need to address ways to integrate those new options, however we still need the foot traffic and attendance by our local residents and visitors for continued support. We need to address change and you can be a part of the new "re-invented" GABA. The new focus is to promote Arnold as the 'Gateway to Adventure'. This promotes all businesses and recreational opportunities to everyone.
The Arnold community and the local businesses need your support. We realize that everyone is busy trying to make a living between work and family time. But GABA needs all support types: membership support, participation and monetary. We are asking everyone to engage GABA on a level that is best for them. We will be holding a general meeting at Independence Hall. on Thursday October 21. 2021 At 7pm to gather ideas, concerns and your support. We are inviting you as a past member or an interested member to attend this meeting. Arnold needs leadership to reclaim the focus once seen by GABA to help enhance the community and market this beautiful location.
If you cannot make our scheduled meeting, monetary support would also be appreciated. For more information, please contact Mr. Jim Carlon at 209/795-2722.
Thank you,
