Mobile Clinic at Library Saturday for Covid-19 Vaccinations & Testing – Walk-ins Welcome!
Arnold, CA...If you’d like to get vaccinated or tested for Covid-19, Calaveras County’s mobile clinic will be at the Arnold Library this Saturday, October 9.  The County’s Health Department is sponsoring the mobile clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Vaccination: Appointments available but walk-ins are welcome. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available – at no cost – to those 18 years old and up. Pfizer vaccine is available to those 12 and up.  Bring a form of documentation, such as your driver’s license, with your name and birthdate. To pre-register for a Covid-19 vaccination appointment go to: https://myturn.ca.gov. Call the CA COVID-19 hotline at 1-833-422-4255 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m-8 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 8-5 for assistance.

Booster shot: Only the Pfizer vaccine has been approved by the FDA for a booster shot for select groups of people who have already been fully vaccinated, and will be available at the mobile clinic. The FDA is planning to discuss booster shots of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines on Oct. 14.

Testing: Walk-ins only. If you think you might have been exposed to the virus

or have any symptoms from sniffles to a cough, just drive up to the mobile clinic and they will give you the test to take in your car. You will receive results via email in about 48 hours – but in this case by the following Tuesday due to the weekend. To reduce any waiting time, you can pre-register for Covid testing at: https://bit.ly/3wpNEUU. Please bring health insurance information. If you’re uninsured, the government pays for your test.

According to County guidelines, if you’ve had close contact with someone who has Covid-19, you should get tested 3-5 days after exposure, even if you are vaccinated, and wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until you receive a negative result. (FYI: Home test kits are available for purchase at CVS in Angels Camp – call ahead to see if they are still in stock).

In case you can’t make it Saturday, below is the mobile clinic schedule in Calaveras County for the next week. Please share this info with your family and friends in the area!

We will send you updated mobile clinic schedules as they are available.
