All Day Hermitfest West is Coming to Bear Valley on September 10th, 2022
Bear Valley, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Association is excited to invite you to join us for our annual celebration on the pass, fondly known as Hermitfest. This year we will be celebrating in the ballfield at Bear Valley with an all-day music festival on Saturday, September 10th, from noon-8 pm (but you know the music will likely continue on a bit later). Watch this space and our event page for more details coming this week. We can’t wait to see everybody again! Thank you to our event sponsor, Cedar Creek Realty, as well as the US Forest Service, Alpine County, and Bear Valley for helping us make this happen this year. See a list of all our 2022 sponsors here.

As always, our musicians are the heart of this event. This year we welcome back Grover Anderson and his band, the Lampoliers. Grover has been with us since the very beginning and is a local favorite. Another regular at Hermitfest is Ten Dollar Pony, who became the hero of Hermitfest in 2015 when the event was officially canceled due to the Butte Fire, but a whole bunch of people were already in Hermit Valley or ended up evacuating to Hermit Valley. Ten Dollar Pony showed up and entertained for hours!

Jimbo Scott, also returns this year along with Alan Drown and Cantamos.

As always, we welcome your donations.  The generous support of our business community and local music lovers makes this event possible.  Download the 2022 Hermitfest West Sponsorship Form or donate online at paypal.me/scenic4.

We still have space for a few artisan vendors to join us at this year’s celebration.  Contact us at info@scenic4.org for more information.

Looking for more information on the event, lodging & camping options, and other details?  Check out our dedicated event page here.

All Day The Frogtown Classic BMX Days September 9 - 11
Angels Camp, CA..(Frogtown, USA)...The Frogtown Classic BMX Days is the first event of its kind and we are celebrating a second year in 2022! The multi-day, classic, vintage BMX festival celebrates the history and action of BMX as it had originally developed. The bikes, the legendary racers, and THAT famous United Bicycle Racers (UBR) downhill track that provided so much excitement 40 years ago!

This three-day event is held at the beautiful and world-famous Calaveras County Fairgrounds and will bring together old-school style BMX racing, a bike, show, swap meet, vendors and more for people to come enjoy racing, watching, and just being part of this inaugural event. Over three days you’ll see:

  • Classic and Pioneer era BMX bikes racing on the original, Frogtown UBR, downhill track!
  • Modern BMX racing on the same track using only flat pedals and experiencing an original, human operated starting gate!
  • Kids Push Bike races.
  • GT Bicycles' 50th Anniversary Bike Show with the most pristine, collector bikes from BMX, Freestyle, Cruisers, Sidehacks and more!

  • The BMX Swap Meet where you can sell your gems to others or find that perfect project bike to make your own show stopper!
  • Vendor and Sponsor Displays showing the latest bikes and accessories!
