Arnold, CA...Bistro Espresso is Open late until 8:00pm! Join us and bring a friend! The Bistro serves fresh, made-to-order American cuisine. We serve fair trade, organic espresso and coffee, a variety of beers and wines. Open for BREAKFAST & LUNCH DAILY!



Bistro Espresso began in July 2005 serving coffee, smoothies and a variety of cold sandwiches. Expanding in 2016 to include live music and beer and wine. In 2018 we moved to a larger locations and venue to serve a more menu choices and live music in the park. Serving the community whenever possible, the Bistro is grateful for local loyal patrons and tourists alike.

04:45 PM Yoga for a cause at Columbia State Historic Park Fundraising event for Friends of Columbia SHP
Columbia, CA...Friends of Columbia SHP (Friends) announced a hotel package fundraiser for Saturday, March 28, to benefit educational programs at the park. Package prices range from $85 - $160. All proceeds go to the non-profit organization.

The announcement included “Me Time” and “Friends” packages with a one-night stay in a historic hotel, a yoga session and a thank you gift for supporting the non-profit organization. Guests can add to the experience by having dinner at one of the restaurants in the park, perusing the unique shops throughout the historic district and enjoying gold rush activities.

Friends partnered with local businesses to make this event an enjoyable evening for patrons. Kim Brodie, of Mountain Om Yoga, offered to lead a relaxing yoga session and Seven Sisters Soap and Candle Co. donated candles for the gift baskets.

Sponsorship package prices vary based on hotel room and number of guests. Call (209) 532-1479 for details and reservations. Packages cannot be purchased online. Guests will need to bring yoga/exercise mat and meet at Eagle Cotage at 4:45 p.m. Hotel check-in is 3 p.m.

Columbia State Historic Park boasts two historic, authentically restored country inns. Elegantly appointed rooms with Victorian antiques, custom crafted wall coverings and beautiful lithographs bring the past to life. Columbia State Historic Park, located in Tuolumne County, is designated a National Historic Landmark District. The state has preserved the area to tell the story of the towns which arose to serve the needs of the miners during the California Gold Rush. California State Parks has restored, and continues to preserve, over thirty of the original brick buildings along the town’s Main Street.

Columbia State Historic Park hosts more than 600,000 visitors annually and is a major tourist destination in Tuolumne County. The park includes more than twenty concessionaires whose businesses, along with park staff and volunteers, help recreate the experience of the California Gold Rush for visitors from around the world.

The Calaveras Mentoring Foundation is excited to announce the return of its popular “Spring Swing” dinner/dance to be held in the beautiful ballroom of Ironstone Vineyards, Saturday, March 28 at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $65 per person. The evening features the Big Band sound of Rod Harris and the Columbia Kicks, catering by Lila and Sage, no-host bar and live auction. All proceeds will be used to continue the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Programs: the original Mentoring Program, which matches students in grades 1-12 with safe adult mentors and group mentoring, which helps young adults from 16 to 21 learn life and social skills, self-confidence, trust and teamwork. Murphys, CA...It’s time to celebrate Springtime at the 2020 Spring Swing, presented by the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation to raise funds for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. Spring Swing is coming right up on Saturday, March 28, 2020 beginning at 5:30 pm at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys.





Ironstone’s ballroom will be sparkling with festive decorations reminiscent of the era of Big Bands. Diners will enjoy a scrumptious... hearty buffet dinner catered by Lila & Sage. Some menu items include their signature Mac & Cheese, Good ‘Ol Meatloaf and Loaded Baked Potatoes. For everyone’s listening and dancing enjoyment, Rod Harris and the Columbia Kicks will deliver their distinctive style of Big Band dance music all evening long.

Master of Ceremonies, Dave Bowman, will host the evening’s entertainment, which also includes a live auction of exciting adventures in dining and travel. Auction items are still being created; generous bidders can anticipate competing for a Two-Night stay at Shenandoah Valley’s luxurious Grand Reserve Inn, a Two-Day Tuolumne River Rafting Trip for a family of four with O.A.R.S., a Gourmet Mexican Dinner for Twelve under the Arbor at Casa de Lucas and a sightseeing flight over and around the Motherlode among others.

Many wonderful sponsors are already supporting the Spring Swing, and more are always welcome. Some of the sponsors this year include Tad and Jane Bottomley-Winans, Mark Twain Medical Center, Calaveras County Office of Education., B.L.V. Insurance Services as well as friends of youth mentoring, Donna R. Shannon and Bill Senger.
