02:00 PM A 1940's Christmas Carol at the Met
San Andreas, CA..."A 1940's Christmas Carol" is a heartwarming story of Emily Cratchit's struggle to make ends meet while juggling her job at Scrooge's Munitions Factory, and simultaneously raising her four children alone while her husband is off fighting in WWII. Her unyielding boss, Mr. Scrooge has a hardened heart and is called out by three visiting spirits who encourage him to change his awful ways.

The Ghost of Christmas Past appears in the form of a fair flapper who shows him glimpses of his past to remind him of the person he was in his younger years. The flamboyant Ghost of Christmas Present shows old Scrooge his current effect on the people around him, while the Ghost of Christmas Future appears in a gas mask, silently filling Scrooge with fear for what his grim future may hold if he doesn't make some changes.

"A 1940's Christmas Carol" was adapted by Fourth Wall Entertainment's Artistic Director, Cyndie Klorer, and runs weekends from November 26 - December 19, 2021 at the Metropolitan at 59 Main Street in San Andreas.

Tickets are available at the door, by phone at 209-754-5555, or online at https://www.eventbrite.com/.../a-1940s-christmas-carol....
03:00 PM Rescheduled Due to Weather..."One Mad Apple" is Author Tom Pratt's Debut Novel! Book Signing on
Murphys, CA...We live in a divided country and in these tumultuous times, school board meetings have become an uncivilized forum for activists and angry parents to engage in public discourse on a variety of subjects from critical race theory, funding mental health programs, mask mandates, and in California the vaccine mandates for all children that attend public and private schools.

Tom Pratt, an elected school board member, releases his debut fictional novella One Mad Apple. It tells the story of the struggles and crazy crusade of an unlikely foe, a school board member who is out to destroy the book's central character as well as the peaceful town and its innocent children.

“In my first published work, I have taken a subject that is part of my life – being a local school board member – and taken creative license to craft a fictional story that especially in today’s volatile environment might not be so far out of the realm of possibility,” Pratt said.

One Mad Apple is available for purchase at https://bookstore.dorrancepublishing.com/one-mad-apple-ebook/

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

TOM PRATT has been elected three times to his local school board in two different communities in California and actively participates and volunteers in community activities. He loves all things that have to do with baseball, gardening, writing, reading, and watching movies that have intrigue as the central theme.

Tom has a keen interest in national politics, is active in local politics, and has run for statewide office. His professional experience as an art insurance broker has helped him hone critical skills of investigation and communication – and his career has provided many intriguing stories!

Tom lives with his wife and their two sons in the foothills of Northern California.
