All Day Bear Valley Adventure Company will have Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing & Tubing This Weekend!!
Bear Valley, CA....The Bear Valley Adventure Company is excited to open again for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and tubing this Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 19 & 20, 2022. This “soft v.2” opening will provide ~15km of groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Limited services will include ski and snowshoe rentals, ski lessons, and simple menu at Reba’s Meadow Cafe.

Adult $30 (reg. $49)
Senior $25 (reg. $44)
Youth $20 (reg. $29),

Kinder FREE (reg. $0).
Special Learn to Ski Package (ski rental, trail pass and lesson):

Midweek pricing on ski & snowshoe rentals
Ski School open for lessons.
Reba’s Meadow Café will open with a limited menu of fresh and warm dishes.
Trail signs will be limited but adequate, given the limited terrain.
Tubing hill is open:

$5/access fee (reg. $10)

08:00 AM - 12:00 PM Caltrans & Clean California Partner with Calaveras County for Free Dump Day Events
Arnold, CA...Caltrans District 10 and Clean California are partnering with Calaveras County to hold a series of FREE Dump Day events for area residents. The second event will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022, 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Hazel Fischer Elementary School, located at 1605 Blagen Rd, Arnold CA.


This Free Dump Day event will accept tires without rims, appliances, and mattresses. The Clean California program is encouraging responsible trash-handling practices and disposing of waste materials safely and properly.

Items NOT accepted at this event:
• Household trash, hazardous waste, electronic waste, green/yard waste, bulky Items (old furniture, chairs, tables, etc.), and concrete and demolition materials

Caltrans reminds motorists to properly secure and tarp all cargo loads prior to driving. Transporting unsecured loads is unsafe, illegal, and pollutes California's roads and waterways. Loads that are not tied down/secured by tarps/nets or enclosed will not be accepted.

Tips for securing your load:

• Completely cover loads with tarps or cargo nets. Debris can escape from gaps.
• Remove loose material and trash before driving.
• Don't overload; keep materials level with your truck bed.
• Put light items lower, tie large items to the vehicle for traffic safety.

•January 14th, 2023 at Calaveras County Fairgrounds, 2465 Gunclub Rd, Angels Camp, CA 95222;

• February 25th, 2023 – TBD in Copperopolis
