Annual Winterfest in Bear Valley Village!
The annual celebration of winter that kicks the winter season is this weekend in Bear Valley. It starts off on Friday night with an Open House at Bear Valley Real Estate where you can check out all the latest in Real Estate and Vacation Rentals. Following that will be the Bear Valley Screening of Warren Miller's "Dynasty" that played to a packed house last weekend in Angels Camp. On Saturday you and you friends can toast the upcoming season and elevate your pallets with Bear Valley Cross County's "Wine Tasting in the Meadow" featuring Calaveras Wines. Bear Valley Snowmobile will be holding their Annual Open House where they will be displaying all of the motorized snow toys for this year.....
At 6pm the kids can participate in the Double Black Diamond Unwrapping Contest and this will be followed up by the Crow Jewel of Winterfest the Annual Winterfest Fashion Show featuring all the local hotties modelling the latest in Winterwear.
So make plans to head up the hill and do the snow dance with the locals as they get ready for the 09/10 season...

Valley Springs Turkey Trot
Nov. 26, 1 mile run 8 a.m., 5 mile run 8:30 a.m., downtown Valley Springs, run sponsored by the Valley Springs Optimist Club to benefit the Resource Connection Food Bank, can bring canned goods or non-perishables for the food bank truck, prizes awarded to the top three runners; $20 for either the one or five mile run, and $30 for both, for more information call Carol Beck Crosby at 772-3403.
