All Day Murphys Witch Walk Supporting Ronald McDonald House & "Super Wyatt"!
Murphys, CA...This year the Murphys Witch Walk Halloween Festival is proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California in our fundraising efforts in honor of 9-year old Wyatt Walker of Murphys. “Super” Wyatt, as he has come to be known due to his resilience to adversity, was diagnosed in December 2021 with Medulloblastoma Brain Cancer, at which time he underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor from his brain. Over these 10-months, Wyatt continues to receive ongoing treatment, the progress of which you can follow by joining the “Super Wyatt” Facebook group his parents, James and Carrie, set-up for him at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/312873447557450

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California have been integral in helping Wyatt and his family, as they stay at Ronald McDonald House accommodations sometimes for as long as 6+ weeks at a time, whenever they have to travel from Murphys to UC Davis for Wyatt to receive treatment. On some of these occasions, the family has to stay in special Ronald McDonald House apartment accommodations due to the fact that Wyatt is immunocompromised.

According to Wyatt’s dad, James, “I can’t think of any one charity that has been more helpful and accommodating to our needs than Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California. To have so much stress alleviated when traveling the great distances from Murphys to UC Davis for when Wyatt needs repeated and long term treatment that requires longer than normal hospital stays, has been a blessing.”

The Murphys Witch Walk is grateful that Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California will be participating in the vendor bazaar at the 6th Annual Murphys Witch Walk and you can meet their wonderful crew at booth 15 in the Native Sons Hall. Please donate whatever you can.

The Murphys Witch Walk proud and honored to welcome Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California to the event this year and it is with even greater pride we announce we will be donating a portion of raffle and vendor bazaar entry tickets, as well as merchandise sales, to Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California in honor of “Super” Wyatt Walker and the Walker Family.
All Day The 6th Annual Murphys Witch Walk is October 15th
Murphys, CA...The producers of the 6th Annual Murphys Witch Walk are proud to announce the expanded multi-award winning festival will take place Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 11 am to 8 pm on Main Street. For 2022, the Murphys Witch Walk will feature multiple vendor bazaars, charity raffles, live music at local businesses, and unrivaled costumed camaraderie in a festival event where All The World’s a Stage and Everyone’s a Star.

Fun for the whole coven, be ready to ‘eat, drink and be wicked,’ but be sure to dress to impress as your best Witch of Eastwick, Harry Potter character, Maleficent, sorcerers Saruman or Gandalf, Sanderson Sister, the witches of MacBeth or the Good Witch of the North, the Wicked Witch of the East, or whatever other fascinating fantastical mystical character you can conjure. And bring your diminutive witches, mini warlocks and assorted flying monkeys with you, because this is a family-friendly event.

The 6th Annual Murphys Witch Walk has expanded their vendor bazaar from last year’s single venue featuring 12 artisans to 40 vendors at two different venues along Main Street with additional artisan vendor pop-ups and festivities staged by existing Murphys’ Main Street businesses. The aptly titled Murphys Witch Walk Wicked Goods Bizarre Bazaar will feature curious, odd, eccentric, esoteric, spooky, Pagan, spiritual, sacred, and witchy collectibles, baubles, trinkets, ephemera, ornaments, novelties, knickknacks and assorted works of art just in time for Halloween or, for you traditionalists, Samhain. The Murphys Witch Walk is thrilled to welcome such unique vendor participants and festival event sponsors as Sacramento’s WitchGang Apothecary and the Bay Area-based The Menagerie Oddities Market, as well as other innovative regional artisans, creators and crafters.

This year, the 6th Annual Murphys Witch Walk proudly welcomes media sponsors Whispers of a Witch Podcast (WitchVoice.com) hosted by Hollywood-based professional voiceover actress Jennifer Anne Scott (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm5914981) and WITCHES Magazine (https://www.witchesmagazine.com) which is published and shipped to us all the way from Merry Ole’ England. This class act publication is a 92-page heavy-weight periodical featuring fascinating articles and stunning photography that is more of a high-end coffee table book than a mere mortal magazine that you will be proud to display in your home. Collectable copies of WITCHES Magazine will be for sale at the Murphys Witch Walk Wicked Goods Bizarre Bazaar.

A portion of raffle ticket and vendor bazaar admission ticket sales, as well as other generated revenue, will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California in honor of Murphys’ very own 9-year old Wyatt Walker and the Walker Family. “Super” Wyatt, as he has come to be known due to his resilience to unparalleled adversity, was diagnosed in December 2021 with Medulloblastoma Brain Cancer, at which time he underwent emergency surgery to remove the life-threatening tumor from his brain.

Participating in the Murphys Witch Walk Wicked Goods Bizarre Bazaar, Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California remains integral in helping Wyatt and his family providing Ronald McDonald House accommodations, sometimes for as long as 6+ weeks at a time, whenever they have to travel from Murphys to UC Davis for when Wyatt receives treatment. Additional info about “Super” Wyatt Walker’s road to recovery may be found at: https://bit.ly/superwyattmww and donations may be made at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California website: https://rmhcnc.org.

The Murphys Witch Walk owes its success to its decentralized production concept that allows the business community to creatively participate without any direction or supervision from the festival producers, thereby maintaining the surprising uniqueness of the event year after year. Businesses host entertainment, music and/or decorate accordingly, displaying their creativity to create very festive and engaging destinations throughout town that curious attendees want to visit and explore.

The Murphys Witch Walk was established in 2016 by Teresa Rodriguez, owner of Murphys’ Potted Plum Mercantile, as a Costumed Friday Girls Night Out where attendees dress up, eat, drink and shop as a means to promote the Murphys Main Street business community. Since its inception, the Annual Murphys Witch Walk has grown to attract numerous costumed revelers, shoppers, families, and oenophiles to Murphys to explore, shop, dine, enjoy, and learn about this inimitable historic Gold Country town where many business owners report the Murphys Witch Walk is considered the #1 retail shopping day of the year.

The Murphys Witch Walk was recently voted BEST CALAVERAS ANNUAL EVENT in the 2022 Ledger Dispatch "Best of Calaveras" Reader’s Choice Award and the festival took the 2021 Calaveras Arts and Entertainment Award for BEST MURPHYS FESTIVAL EVENT.

The Murphys Witch Walk thanks sponsor Cal-Waste.com for additional waste receptacles and removal, as well as supporting organizations including El Dorado Septic and the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department and Calaveras County Sheriff's Volunteer Unit for their exemplary event security.
