09:00 AM - 03:30 PM Hospice Griefbuster Training
Griefbuster Training April 17th & 18th

Become a Griefbuster volunteer for Hospice of Amador & Calaveras!

What are Griefbusters?
Griefbusters are volunteers, trained and supervised by Hospice of Amador & Calaveras, to provide front-line support to any child age 3-17 who is grieving the death of a loved one. This service is free.

Why does it matter?
We know that children who experience a significant loss need the opportunity to grieve in a healthy and productive way. Without a healthy grieving opportunity children are prone to “act out” and performance in school often times suffers. Griefbusters respond to those needs and help young people cope with and recover from traumatic personal losses caused by the death of someone close.

When and where is the training?
The Griefbuster training will be held at the Amador Senior Center in Jackson on Tuesday April 17th, and Wednesday April 18th, from 9am-3:30pm. Trainees must attend both days.

For more information and to obtain a Hospice Volunteer application,
please call Tammy or Ann at Hospice @ 223-5500
