James Hurley (Acoustic/Jazz) at Angels Flight Winery
Angels Host Troubadour In Standard
One of the most respected performing songwriters on the
west coast brings his unique and engaging music to Angel’s
Flight Winery’s acoustic concert series in Standard at 7:30
pm on Saturday, April 14th.
Housed in the 1914 Standard Church building, Angel’s Flight
Winery hosts this concert series that showcases the talents
of both local and touring performers in a room that is
renowned for the beauty of it’s natural acoustic sound.
Internationally-touring singer/songwriter James Hurley,
whom Folkworks Magazine calls "One of the Top Ten Live
Acoustic Male Singer-Songwriters in L.A.", tours the U.S.

Drawing from a large catalog of diverse material, his
performances range from intimate insight to irreverent
humor and make all the stops in between.
While showing influences including the music of the Swing
era, the British invasion, contemporary pop and rock, and
even Saturday morning cartoons, Hurley somehow manages
to remain distinctly original and completely accessible. His
songs have been featured in independent films and on NPR,
and the title track from his release "Tempest in a teacup"spent 12 weeks at the top of Indie-Music.com's AC chart.
Fans of acoustic singer/songwriter music will definitely not
want to miss this event.
