All Day Motorists Make Experience Delays on Hwys 2, 26 & 49 Calaveras This Week
Calaveras County, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 4, 26, and 49.


Work is scheduled as follows:
Route 4
• One-way traffic control from McCarty Creek to Shirley Road for blasting from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
• One-way traffic control from Bonanza Mine to Appaloosa Road for tree work beginning Wednesday, February 23, through Friday, February 25, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Horseshoe Drive to Meko Drive for tree work beginning Tuesday, February 22, through Friday, February 25, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Moving lane closure for striping operations from Camp Connell to State Route 89, Closure Gate 5 beginning Tuesday, February 22, through Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Route 26
• One-way traffic control from Driver Road to Baldwin Road for utility work from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February, 23, 2022.
• One-way traffic control at Silver Springs Road for utility work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
• One-way traffic control at Sandy Gulch Road for utility work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Route 49
• One-way traffic control from Cherokee Creek to Dear Creek Road for drainage work beginning Monday, February 14, through Friday, February 18, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Gold Rush Lane to the Calaveras/Amador County Line beginning Tuesday, February 22, through Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5- to10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.

ONE-WAY TRAFFIC CONTROL
ON STATE ROUTES 4 AND 26

• One-way traffic control at Boards Crossing Road for electrical work beginning Wednesday, February 23, through Friday, February 25, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Route 26
• One-way traffic control at Sandy Gulch Road for utility work beginning Tuesday, February 22, through Friday, February 25, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

12:00 AM - 12:00 AM Possible Traffic Delays in Calaveras County During Annual Striping Operation
San Andreas, CA...Beginning February 15, 2020 and continuing through early-March there will be traffic delays throughout Calaveras County to accommodate roadway striping activities on select county maintained roads. Striping work will be completed via mobile operations with moving lane closures during the daylight hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution in the areas.


The Annual Striping Program is being constructed by Central Striping Service, Inc. Central Striping and Calaveras County appreciate your cooperation and will do everything we can to complete the project on schedule.
