07:00 PM Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet
Directed by Traci Sky Sprague. Fast-talking, quit-witted satire of Hollywood written by Mamet- whose work is a genre of itself. In this hilarious dramatic-comedy, the play spotlights the American movie business: Charlie Fox and his friend Bobby Gould have a new script that they both see as their ticket to the Big Time. As they prepare their pitch to the studio boss, Bobby wagers Charlie that he can seduce the temp/secretary, Karen. As a ruse, Charlie gives her a novel by "some Eastern sissy" writer that needs a courtesy read before being dismissed out of hand. Karen slyly determines the novel, not the movie-star script, should be the company's next film. She seduces Bobby, who is so smitten with Karen and her ideals that he pleads with Charlie to drop the star project and pitch the "Eastern sissy" writer's book. (Content: Strong Language)

07:30 PM Don't Miss Film Friday with "Bottle Shock" At Milliaire April 28th.
Murphys, CA...Don't miss our first Film Friday! Enjoy "Bottle Shock" projected on our Creekside Patio along with a delicious glass of Milliaire and theater snacks in hand! Doors open at 7:30pm, film begins at dusk. FREE ADMISSION.

Milliaire Winery is a small family-owned winery founded by Liz and Steve Millier in 1983 in the cellar of their former home in Murphys CA. In 1990, the winery moved to an old Flying A gas station on Main Street in Murphys. The whole building was utilized for daily operations; barrels stacked in the repair bays, wine tanks in the backyard, bottling in the front yard and the tasting room in the office. There were jokes about what was in "those tanks" and a friend of the Milliers' dubbed it the "Roadside Chateau". Following their dreams of making premium wines from the Sierra Foothills, today Milliaire Winery has expanded and occupies over an 8,000 square foot winery with a dedicated barrel room and modern crush pad facility. The Milliaire Winery tasting room still resides in the old "Roadside Chateau" at 276 Main Street.
