Free "Learn to Cross Country Ski" Opportunity at Bear Valley
Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley Cross Country, located on scenic, all-weather Highway 4, will be hosting this year's Cross Country "Winter Trails Day" on Saturday, January 10, 2009. Winter Trails Day is an international event designed to introduce new skiers to the sport, while encouraging all skiers to learn about what's new in cross country in a fun and festive atmosphere. Bear Valley Cross Country will offer first-time cross country skiers (ages 9 and up) a one-time-only free introductory cross country ski package, including beginner lesson, equipment rental and trail pass (a $55 value). Bear Valley's excellent ski school staff, along with innovative rental equipment designed to provide increased control and comfort, will add to the fun learning experience. After completing the lesson, new skiers will receive a discount coupon good for one complimentary trail pass on their second visit, and two for the price of one trail passes on their third visit. Snowshoe demos will also be available from 11:30 to 2:30pm. for participants to try out, as well. A $5 preregistration fee is required to participate in this event.
