Stained Glass Artists to Unveil Glass Murals...By Ross Alford
Arnold, CA On November 12, the W. Poulson Glass Studio is hosting the unveiling of two stained glass murals. The murals will be shipped to Tokyo, Japan, to be installed in The New Sanno Hotel. The murals, designed and built by glass artists Bill and Bobbette Poulson, were commissioned by The New Sanno Hotel for its lounge and casino renovation project......
 
The theme for the murals, “Tall Ships Docked in Boston Harbor” was chosen by the directors of the renovation of the hotel, and the murals capture the essence of the Federalist Period in U.S. History. The New Sanno Hotel is U.S. Military owned and operated in Tokyo.
For the past 3 months, the Poulsons have been diligently putting in 10 to 12 hours a day to complete their project. The glass murals are to be shipped to Japan November 16. The Poulsons will then follow the murals to Japan on November 21 to do the installation at the hotel.
The Studio has scheduled an open house for November 12 as a chance to display the works of art before they leave for Japan. The event is open to the public from 12 noon to 6 pm at the W. Poulson Glass Studio located at 1318 Oak Ct. in Cedar Center, Arnold.
