Bear Valley Cross Country Has Big Plans on Saturday....With a Special Weekend of Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides and The Sledding Hill is now Open!
Bear Valley, CA...We had the chance to speak with Bear Valley Cross Country's Paul Peterson about the 08/09 season and all that Bear Valley XC has to offer. Paul who has been a Bear Valley fixture for over 34 years is not only the President of Bear Valley Cross Country he is also a world class athlete and co-author of The Essential Cross-Country Skier. So when Paul talks skiing he knows whereof he speaks. Cross-Country skiing has also gotten much easier with the advances in equipment. The ski's are now much shorter and much easier to use....
Bear Valley XC has 35 trails on over 3,000 acres. It ranks among the finest trail systems in the in the US. They also offer snow shoeing that has a much shorter learning curve and is a great way to enjoy a day exploring the high country.
Cross Country Skiing while a focal point and part of their name is only one of the activities they offer. They also have sledding and tubing, bicycle rentals during the summer and a compete store with, Gas, Food, Clothing, Gifts, Equipment and more.
