The Bear Valley Fiscal Analysis
Markleeville, CA...The Fiscal Impact Analysis is not part of the EIR or part of the EIR process. It is a separate study prepared under the County’s direction. It is being provided for public information. There is no specific public comment period on this document. It will be used by the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors as part of their deliberations on the proposed project. The appropriate time to comment on the fiscal impact of the proposed project will be during the public hearing process on the proposed project which will follow completion of the EIR process. ....
With regard to the comments received on the Draft EIR – the EIR team (County’s consultant and County staff) has begun the process of reviewing all the comments and beginning to draft responses that will be included in a Final EIR. We received 49 comment letters which included 364 separate comments. As you can imagine, it will take some time to go through all of these. Below is a short description of the process:
“Following receipt of comments on the draft EIR, the lead agency proceeds to prepare a final EIR. The final EIR contains comments on the draft EIR, responses to comments, and any necessary revisions to the draft EIR. 14 CCR 15089. If significant new information (as defined by CEQA Guidelines 15088.5(a)) is added to the draft EIR, the lead agency must recirculate the draft EIR and provide a second public review period.”
The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing prior to considering certification of a final EIR. You will be notified by this email list of the next opportunity for public input on the EIR.
