Bret Harte School Board Says Thank You and Goodbye to Clayton Rasmussen ~By John Hamilton
Angels Camp, CA...For the last 27 years Clayton Rasmussen has been a fixture on the Bret Harte School District Board. Clayton was honored during a ceremony tonight at the Bret Harte Board Meeting. All of the board members and several members of the audience spoke to thank Clayton for his years of service. Since 1981 Mr. Rasmussen has according to his peers been a steady voice reminding all the board members that every decision they make should be viewed in the context of "Is this the best decision for the Kids?"...

It was mentioned tonight that Clayton also kept the board aware that while scolastics were obviously important the many kids in the school were also there for the sports and other programs the school has to offer. Tony Tyrrell spoke and thanked Mr. Rasmussen for all of his work on the new sports complex.
Clayton's son Jeff Rasmussen is currently running election to make sure that there is still a Rasumussen on the board. The Rasmussen family has been consistently involved with the youth of the area since the 1960's when the family was instrumental in the founding and development of Bear Valley Ski Area.
